Sportdogfood Elite Grain Free Dog Food, Beef Formula, 50-Pound

This food is AMAZING!!!!! I don't normally take the time to write a review, but this time I had to. I have 4 Great Danes that we have had problems finding a good food for. 2 of them have grain allergies and it causes massive blow out diarrhea and hair loss. We have tried almost every type of food out there, from the most expensive to the cheapest on the market and even a raw diet. Nothing seemed to help them get over the diarrhea. We spent hours online reading reviews on grain free dog foods,but we were never able to find one that was in a bigger bag than 30 lbs. With 4 giant breed dogs we go thru alot of food. We were a little wary of trying this food even though we read the reviews and they all seemed really good, but we thought what did we have to lose. We had tried everything else. I ordered the food on Thursday and it was delivered on Monday in great condition. The only complaint is that I wish Amazon would put the bag in a box. When I ordered the food I had some additional questions about the food so I emailed the manufacturer. I received a response from them in less than an hour. They were unbelievable. We are great dane breeders and we use the dogs as service dogs for military personnel with PTSD. I wanted to order the food directly from the manufacturer in order to take advantage of their auto ship discounts, but unfortunately they don't ship to GA. When I explained in the email what we do with the dogs I received and email from the OWNER of the company asking me to call him. He explained in detail what his company was about and spent time speaking with me about the best way to feed this dog food and had no problem answering all of my questions.He told me that this food was very rich and that it would probably cause stomach problems with the dogs until they got used to it. He also said that they found that the dogs ate less of this food because they were able to absorb more of the food. My dogs are VERY picky about their food and we usually have to entice them to eat. Sometimes even hand feeding them. When we put this dog food in their bowls they INHALED it. I have NEVER seen my dogs eat like this. They ate every piece and were wanting more. The next day their poop had already started to firm up. They already have more energy and they beg for the food at each feeding. They have only been on the food for almost 3 days now and there has been no hint of diarrhea. In fact they have solid poop for the first time since we got them. I also notice that their poop is very small. They are eating less than on their other food. My adults are eating only 2 1/2 cups twice a day as compared to 4 cups twice a day. The puppies are only eating 1 1/2 cups twice a day as compared to 3 cups twice a day. I have already ordered another bag for the dogs, because I would absolutely hate to run outIf you are wondering if you should try this food. please take my advise and give it a try. It's amazing and the dogs love it!!!!

I decided to try Sport Dog Food Elite for 3 reasons...1. It offered a 50lb bag at a good price; 2. It had good reviews, and 3. It was grain-free. I have 2 dogs: a German Shepherd/ Husky mix and a Yorkie/ Pomeranian mix. I don't usually see a difference in my dogs' behavior but recently they've both been very energentic and their coats have been soft and clean. I don't write many reviews but the difference is so noticeable that i have to give credit to the change in their dry food. My Shepherd even out ran me at the end of a 4mile run. He normally slows down after about 2miles but he kept strong the whole run. They look healthier and are move active overall. I attribute that to the Elite series dog food. My only issue is that i wish there were more flavor options available in 50lbs.

Love how this food is organic and allergy conscious. But I do notice that my dogs fur seems a little drier and he is still isn't putting on enough weight. I am not sure if there is enough nutrition for him.

Great dog food for dogs who may be allergic to many other dog foods. Cleared up my boxers ear problems and her paw problems after just one bag.

Our pointer is extremely sensitive to byproducts and chicken. This is the only food we have found that doesn't give him an allergic reaction. We are very thankful we found it, and that it doesn't break the bank.

They have good intentions, however all my great Danes had bad diarrhea . Could not continue with bag. Maybe smaller dogs would do well.
