I was genuinely excited to upgrade from my Husqvarna Automower 415X to what I hoped would be a more advanced, "set-it-and-forget-it" robot mower—something akin to the seamless integration of hardware, sensors, and software that DJI achieves in drones or Roborock in vacuums. Unfortunately, this has been a major letdown. After 8 months of use, the mower is heading to the trash. The core issues stem from unreliable software on both the app and the unit itself: It frequently loses GPS lock (even when RTK signal strength shows as strong) or gets "confused" and simply stops mid-mow. My yard is straightforward and easy to navigate—I've owned four robotic mowers over the past 20 years, and this is the first one that's this frustrating. It's far from a hands-off experience. I now have a recurring calendar reminder just to go hunt it down, rescue it from wherever it's stalled, and return it to the base. The hardware feels solid and well-built, but in a robotic mower, software intelligence is everything—and this company falls severely short there. I reached out to support hoping to trade it in for a newer, smarter model, but they offered no meaningful resolution beyond some free replacement blades. They don't seem to stand behind the product as I'd expect. If you're considering this mower, I'd strongly advise looking at competitors with more experience delivering true autonomy.

I searched for a robot lawn mower for my small lot. I chose the Mammotion YUKA Mini 700h because I did not want to install a boundary wire. I mounted the RTK unit on an eave in the backyard and installed the base against my foundation. Programming the unit took a few tries to master the controls. I successfully mapped the yard in multiple areas so that I could mow in sections. The mower performs very well allowing for the small footprint and mowing width. The lawn looks professionally mowed. The mower does well along edges but a few trim areas remain along flower bed borders with rocks and a narrow curb area with too much slope. Overall the mower has been an excellent choice and lawn maintenance is no longer a chore. Overall I am very pleased with the mower performance.

This is an amazing robot! We divided our lawns into 5 task areas to maximize the pattern efficiency. The one issue was the rain shut-off did not seem to respond even in a downpour. After working flawlessly all summer, the LUBA stopped communicating with my phone. The support team were great and I returned the LUBA for repair. As the parts required were unavailable and there was no replacement robot in stock, they sent a new LUBA 2 AWD 5000X. I am very happy with the service and support I recieved and my lawn looks great!

The Luba 2 AWD 3000HX has completely transformed how I maintain my lawn. Setup was easy thanks to the GPS-based mapping, no perimeter wires needed. The product is well built, and the app gives full control over zones, schedules, and no-go areas. The cut quality is excellent and leaves beautiful manicure lines in your lawn. Pro tip: run it slower with more overlap if the grass is long—then speed it up once you’re in maintenance mode. I love that I can run it daily in fast-growing zones and less often elsewhere. It doesn’t mow right up against walls, trees, or obstacles, so I still do a quick perimeter trim every couple of weeks. But it handles 95%+ of the work automatically. One standout feature for me: it’s one of the few models with four large wheels, which provides stability and helps it handle bumpier areas. I was worried about it getting stuck often, but that has not been the case at all. One of the best smart home / landscaping upgrades I’ve made.

I purchased the Mammotion Yuka 1500 robot lawnmower with the sweeper attachment and extra battery, and let me tell you—it has completely revolutionized my lawn care routine. I was tired of relying on a lawn service with inconsistent schedules, especially since I wanted my kids to enjoy playing soccer on a perfectly short lawn. Now, thanks to the Yuka 1500, my lawn is mowed like clockwork, and it honestly looks like a golf green! Setup and Mapping—A Breeze! Setting up the Yuka 1500 was a fun and surprisingly easy experience. The GPS RTK station needs a clear view of the sky, and mounting it on my back deck railing (amidst my many trees) worked perfectly. Mapping the zones felt like playing with a remote control car! Pro tip: don’t worry about getting too close to the edges—leave a little space, especially if you have trees or brush, and tackle those edges with a trimmer. Performance—Impressive Across the Board This mower exceeded my expectations. It handles my front lawn (7,000 square feet!) like a pro, completing the task in about 176 minutes with a recharge in between. The automated schedule means I don’t have to think about it—it just gets the job done. The extra battery is a game changer for extended sessions, and while I haven’t used the sweeper attachment as much, it’s fantastic for dethatching and leaf cleanup. Quiet, Clean, and Low-Maintenance You barely hear this thing running, which is amazing considering it’s essentially keeping my lawn looking pristine. The noise is comparable to an electric weed whacker, and operationally, it’s very quiet. Maintenance has been minimal—just flipping the blades at the end of the season and giving the bottom a quick clean. I also plan to stow away the RTK station during the winter to avoid damage, but remapping my zones is easy and even a little fun! Stripe Patterns and No-Go Zones—Perfect for Soccer Field Vibes! I’m all about aesthetics, and the Yuka 1500 delivers with clean, crisp mowing patterns. They’re smaller than what you might see at a pro baseball field, but they add a polished touch to my yard. No-go zones and dumping zones are great features, especially when using the sweeper, and object detection works well—I had to trim back a weeping cherry tree, but after that, the mower navigated like a pro. Tech Savvy Required I work in the software industry, so tinkering with home electronics is second nature to me. I found the app pretty easy to use, and if you’re comfortable setting up a Ring alarm system or any household automation device that’s a bit more technical than a Roomba, you’ll probably have no trouble with this mower. But, if tech scares you, this may not be the best choice. Regular software updates and potential connectivity issues do come up, so being able to troubleshoot those is important for smooth operation. A Few Minor Hiccups If you have a sloped lawn or tricky terrain, keep in mind the Yuka 1500 prefers flatter ground. Mine has a slight slope near the driveway, and while it usually handles it well, the occasional skid can happen. For steeper or trickier lawns, I’d suggest upgrading to the four-wheel drive Luba model. Also, heavy tree cover can sometimes mess with the satellite signal, but that’s a rare occurrence and easy to fix by manually guiding the mower for a bit. Final Thoughts—A Game-Changer for Lawn Care This mower is exactly what I was looking for—short, neat grass with minimal effort. I’ve cut out my lawn service completely, and while I still do a little weed whacking and leaf blowing here and there, it’s a small price to pay for a consistently beautiful lawn. If you’re considering the sweeper attachment (highly recommended!) or the extra battery, do it—you won’t regret it. P.S. If you’re in a leafy area like I am, grab the Echo 9010T leaf blower as well. It pairs perfectly with this mower, especially during fall cleanup.
