Good mower for the price
**Great Mower with Some Limitations** **Setup and Mapping:** Setting up the mower and mapping your yard takes some time. Make sure to place the GPS tower in an open area, ideally attached high on your roof or mounted somewhere with a clear view of the sky for the best signal. **Boundary and Navigation Challenges:** The mower generally follows the mapped path well but can struggle to stay within the set boundaries. It may drift into the street, over garden beds, or into driveways. You can set boundary lines to prevent it from entering certain zones, but it still occasionally enters the street or driveway. To mitigate this, I’ve set the boundary about a foot away from the curb. **App Functionality:** The app is user-friendly and offers great features, including real-time tracking. However, it only works on smartphones and tablets—there’s no PC support. Manual control via Bluetooth is somewhat clunky; you need to be right next to the mower, and it can be frustrating if it gets stuck and requires manual intervention. Sometimes, I’ve had to run outside to rescue it from drifting into the road or to manually move it out of a tricky spot. **Mowing Patterns and Performance:** Perimeter mowing can sometimes be slightly off, causing the mower to go outside the mapped areas or get caught on obstacles. The back-and-forth pattern is more reliable and results in a neat, clean cut. Frequent updates have improved its performance, and it generally does well outdoors without much supervision. I also appreciate that it can mow at night, which is very convenient. **Battery Life and Charging:** The battery life is sufficient for my small lawn but drains quickly on larger areas. The mower automatically docks and charges after completing a task, which is very convenient. The charging station must be on a flat surface; it doesn’t work well on an incline. While the mower can handle slight uphill slopes when moving forward, it struggles backing up hills, so place the dock on a flat surface. **Obstacle Avoidance and Cleanup:** When encountering obstacles like branches, the mower sometimes skips parts of the lawn if it needs to return to that spot. It tends to avoid going close to objects, which can result in missing patches of grass by about 10 feet—or sometimes missing spots altogether without a clear obstacle. I often run it for a second pass to clean up those areas. You will still need to do manual cleanup around edges and curbs with a push mower or weed whacker to achieve a perfectly manicured look. **Overall Impressions:** Overall, I’m very happy with this mower. It’s not perfect, but considering the price and size, it offers great value. Larger models with more features likely address some of these issues but come at a significantly higher cost. For smaller lawns or large areas where you want to reduce mowing chores, this unit is highly recommended—especially if you’re busy and need a reliable, automated solution.

By far one of my worse purchases on Amazon (I do mean worse, not worst.)
I wanted, no I NEEDED, to reclaim some time. I have a smallish property (.3 acres, including the area the house/driveway/landscaping sits on so realistically we're talking about maybe .2 acres of mowable area). I figured I'd get a robo mower to do the heavy lifting since the occasional string trimming was vastly better than trudging around the yard all day behind a standard push behind mower. For the first month (the Amazon return window) this thing worked fine. Then I went to a business conference for three days (early June) and when I got back the software had been updated by the manufacturer. Now, it's barely workable and constantly infuriating. I'll give you both sides though. # The Good - The mower is quiet and I mean almost silent. I usually start it for the back yard around midnight/1 am and you can't even hear it. - It mows to the selected height reasonably well and doesn't leave clumps (because of the small cutting path no doubt. - It doesn't have many issues getting stuck on uneven terrain. - It comes pre-assembled in the box; all of the parts were included when I opened it. # The (Expected) Cons - It has a cutting path of like 3.5 inches. So when you envision a push behind (say 21") lawnmower pass, just think this thing needs to do about 6 back and forth passes to get that same cut width. In other words, the smallest, 5-pass front lawn will take this mower 30 trips back and forth to accomplish. - It doesn't come close to mowing a full lawn on a single battery charge. Far from it, it needs to recharge 5ish times to take on my back yard. - It's slow, speed-wise. You can control the speed it cuts at to make it faster, but realistically it will miss spots if you speed it up too much past 1 foot per second. Even with the blade spinner on high speed, it misses spots. So you want to keep the speed down. Just to put this in usable terminology, 1 foot per second is about 0.682 MPH. - It's S-L-O-W, task-wise. For all of the reasons above, this thing takes FOREVER to mow my lawn. I've having it cut the back yard at 8 pm and had it finish at 9 am the next day. 13 hours for a project that takes me maybe an hour of solid work in the mid-day sun. # The Unexpected Cons - Mammotion puts out software updates that totally break basic functionality at random. I'm sure it's unintentional, but whatever software they were using in early-mid May worked fine for me. In mapping, remote connection, the whole thing. Now there are constant updates that change how the app structurally looks AND how the unit behaves. Since ~June 5 when I returned, I haven't been able to: 1. Get remote status updates from the unit via wifi, I have to use bluetooth (aka be near it, not rely on the wifi that used to work perfectly even at the far corner of my property) 2. Update the maps with no-go zones (mowing areas to avoid). Regardless of what I do it tells me there was an error, so I've wasted about an hour in total trying to update an area it shouldn't be cutting rather than have it get lost there every time. 3. It has a TERRIBLE "rain detection" system. There's a non-zero percent change it'll detect a typhoon, but it's been outside in pretty strong rains and acted like it was dry as a bone (it's supposed to return to dock when it rains if you've enabled that function). 4. Mammotion doesn't understand the concept of "pause task". "Pause task" to this company means "stop right where you are and wait". Nothing else. So the mower just shuts off and sits there until you hit resume. There's no "pause and wait in your dock". There's no "put this off for 5 hours because I need to use the lawn right now". It's end task early, then later you go in an manually and select the EXACT same settings and then start at whatever % of the task you've already completed. 5. It can't auto dock. For the reason in #4 AND the reason in #3, I frequently need to stop the task manually. When I do that (once the task is cancelled) I tell it to go home and dock it gets stuck about 3/4 ' in front of the dock and just keeps driving around, tearing up my grass with zero-turn turns. It's got some sort of a camera system on the rear end to sync up to the dock, it shouldn't need to drive around my back yard like a soccer mom looking for a parking spot at the mall to return home. But it does. Oh it does. ALL OF THESE FEATURES USED TO WORK. Until the last roll out of 1/2/3 however many software updates. And naturally it all started literally under a week outside of the return window, so JUST after I committed to wasting nearly a grand on this painful experience. Initially, the price I paid was reasonable. It is categorically NOT when you consider this frustration, though. Because of this, I would categorically NOT recommend buying one.

My best friend
I recently purchased the Yuka Mini Robotic Lawn Mower, and it has honestly been one of the best home upgrades I’ve made. It was incredibly easy to set up, and it does exactly what it’s supposed to do — no hassle, no constant adjustments. The mowing is precise and consistent, and it keeps my lawn looking great with very little maintenance on my end. The app interface is user-friendly and makes controlling and scheduling simple. One of my favorite features is the built-in camera — being able to watch it mow in real time is surprisingly satisfying! The battery life is solid, and it handles my yard without any issues. I truly love the “set it and forget it” convenience. It has completely freed up my weekends, and at this point, it feels like my little lawn-care best friend. Highly recommend!

Excellent mower for a small yard
I searched for a robot lawn mower for my small lot. I chose the Mammotion YUKA Mini 700h because I did not want to install a boundary wire. I mounted the RTK unit on an eave in the backyard and installed the base against my foundation. Programming the unit took a few tries to master the controls. I successfully mapped the yard in multiple areas so that I could mow in sections. The mower performs very well allowing for the small footprint and mowing width. The lawn looks professionally mowed. The mower does well along edges but a few trim areas remain along flower bed borders with rocks and a narrow curb area with too much slope. Overall the mower has been an excellent choice and lawn maintenance is no longer a chore. Overall I am very pleased with the mower performance.
