While I wouldn’t say that it is necessarily ‘hard to chew’ I would definitely describe it as ‘made the old-fashioned way’. In layman’s terms: you’re gonna need all your teeth

I was wondering if you meant regular Corn Syrup because of the additional sugar possibly or if you may have been thinking of HFCS. High Fructose Corn Syrup is very unhealthy and it has been switched out for regular Corn Syrup in all sorts of foods not just Coke and other soft drinks. Good flavor

Not going to lie these looked and smelled great, however they were pretty hard . Not stale, just hard to chew . Nothing as soft as red vines or even twizlers. Needed them for a candy bar, guests seemed to enjoy them.
