Elegante y bonito

Llegó bien, solamente un poco rallado y se le cayó la pintura en algunas partes. Igual, me quejo un poco con la batería pero de ahí en fuera todo está en buen funcionamiento.

I purchased the Google Pixel Watch 2 (Matte Black Aluminum, Obsidian Active Band, GPS, Renewed) about three weeks ago to track my fitness, monitor stress, and stay connected during family activities with my 10- and 11-year-old nephew and son, like Wii gaming with our Eanetf sensor bar or walks in the park. As someone who values practical, tech-savvy solutions (think SMARTTOP nose pads and HOOBRO bathroom shelf), I wanted an Android smartwatch with Fitbit integration at a budget-friendly price. After using it for 15-18 days, here’s my detailed take on its performance, including pros, cons, and tips for other buyers, especially those considering a renewed unit. How I Used It This Pixel Watch 2 (41mm, Wi-Fi/GPS, renewed) features a 1.2” AMOLED display (450x450, 1000 nits), 100% recycled aluminum case, Wear OS 4, and Fitbit integration for heart rate, stress, sleep, and ECG tracking, plus safety features like Fall Detection and Emergency SOS. It includes three new sensors (heart rate, skin temperature, cEDA for stress), a 306mAh battery (24-hour rated), and a 6-month Fitbit Premium trial. I paired it with my Google Pixel 7 (Android 14) for notifications, calls, and Google apps (Maps, Calendar, Assistant), using GPS for 3-4 outdoor walks (2-3 miles each) and Auto Workout for indoor treadmill runs (30 minutes at 6 mph). I tracked sleep 10 nights, stress during work, and heart rate daily, charging it every 24-28 hours with the included USB-C cable. I cleaned the renewed watch with alcohol wipes, replaced the band due to wear, and stored it near my TheraBreath rinse in our bathroom. Pros Accurate Health Tracking: The Fitbit heart rate sensor, enhanced by Google AI, is spot-on during walks and runs, matching my chest strap within 2-3 BPM, as praised on Google’s Store for its precision. Sleep tracking detailed light, deep, and REM stages, helping me adjust bedtime. Effective Stress Management: The cEDA sensor’s Body Response feature alerted me to stress during work calls, prompting breathing exercises via Fitbit, which I found calming, as noted in a @madebygoogle post. Skin temperature tracking also hinted at sleep environment tweaks. Seamless Google Integration: Pairing with my Pixel 7 was a breeze, with notifications (Gmail, Calendar) and Google Assistant responding smoothly, as Amazon reviewers lauded for Android users. I answered calls and used Maps for navigation on walks. Sleek, Comfortable Design: The 41mm matte black case and obsidian band look stylish and feel light (31g), perfect for all-day wear, even with my Gildan boxer briefs and FIONECA shorts, as Best Buy reviewers noted for comfort. The AMOLED display is vibrant at 1000 nits. Great Renewed Value: At $120-$150, it’s a steal compared to $350 new, arriving in excellent condition (minor band wear), with a new charger and 6-month Fitbit Premium, as an Amazon reviewer praised for renewed deals. Cons Renewed Unit Cleanliness: The watch had dirt in the crown and band connectors, requiring 15 minutes of cleaning with alcohol wipes and a toothpick, echoing Amazon reviews about inconsistent renewed quality. The band was slightly worn, so I bought a BandRain nylon band ($15). Battery Life Limitations: The 306mAh battery lasts 24-28 hours with light use (no GPS), but GPS walks drained it to 20% in 2 hours, needing daily charging, as Amazon reviewers noted (104 negative vs. 52 positive). A 75-minute charge restores it fully. Small Size for Larger Wrists: The 41mm case and band felt snug on my 7.5-inch wrist, with only 1-2 holes left, as Amazon reviewers mentioned for small wrists. The crown pressed into my wrist when bending, so a larger band helped. Adhesive Residue on Band: The renewed band had sticky residue, making it uncomfortable until replaced, similar to an Amazon review about band quality issues. A quick swap fixed it, but it’s an extra step for renewed buyers. Comparisons Compared to the Fitbit Versa 4 ($200), the Pixel Watch 2 offers better Google app integration and safety features (Emergency SOS, Fall Detection) but shorter battery life, per Amazon. The Google Pixel Watch 1 ($100 renewed) lacks the cEDA and temperature sensors, making the 2 a worthwhile upgrade, per Google Store. My SMARTTOP nose pads improved glasses comfort, but this watch’s health insights are more impactful than the HOOBRO shelf’s storage. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 ($180 renewed) has longer battery life (40 hours) but less seamless Pixel phone syncing, per Amazon. The Pixel Watch 3 ($350 new) adds running insights but isn’t worth the premium for my needs, per Best Buy. This renewed Pixel Watch 2 balances features and price for Android users. Tips for Buyers Clean Renewed Units Thoroughly: Use alcohol wipes and a toothpick to clean dirt from the crown and band connectors, as Amazon reviews suggest for renewed watches. Check band condition and consider a $15 nylon replacement for comfort. Manage Battery Life: Charge daily (75 minutes for full) and disable always-on display or GPS for lighter use to stretch to 28 hours, addressing Amazon’s battery complaints. A 10-minute top-up adds 4-5 hours. Size Up Bands for Larger Wrists: If your wrist is over 7 inches, get a BandRain Stretchy Nylon Band ($15) for a better fit, as Amazon reviewers noted for small bands. Adjust the crown to avoid wrist pressure. Test Safety Features: Set up Emergency SOS and Safety Check with trusted contacts via the Fitbit app, testing Fall Detection in a safe setting, per Google’s instructions. Ensure Wi-Fi/GPS is active for location sharing. Who Should Buy This? The Google Pixel Watch 2 (Matte Black, GPS, Renewed) is ideal for Android users (Pixel/Samsung phones) needing accurate heart rate, stress, and sleep tracking with Google app integration and safety features for walks or daily use. It’s a great value for budget-conscious buyers but requires cleaning and band checks for renewed units. For longer battery life, consider the Galaxy Watch 5, per Amazon. Overall, this Pixel Watch 2 has been a fantastic addition, offering precise health insights and seamless connectivity for my active lifestyle. It’s stylish and functional, though renewed units need extra TLC and daily charging. I’m eyeing a metal mesh band next for a dressier look! If you’ve tried this or have smartwatch tips, share in the comments—I’d love to hear your thoughts!
