Does it have to be installed professionally for the warranty to be valid?

I don’t think so. I am not sure I would but this unit again. We bought two of them. First install went perfect and it works great. Second install went great until I went to turn it on. I have been trying for almost a week to get ahold of mr cool customer service. I have waited hours on hold only to be sent to voice mail. The one time I finally got ahold of a person they assured me a tech would be calling me. All the circuits test exactly the same as the working unit. Only it’s not coming on. It is not complicated to hook up and I’m fairly sure this would be a easy to solve problem for the techs. But they won’t call back

I don't see the Energy Star rating, Why?

It’s 22seer. That’s how they rate this stuff. I don’t know what that means exactly but compared to others it’s a very good number
