An eye supplement was recommended by my ophthalmologist due to a slight indication of macular degeneration. He suggested the OTC OCUVITE. However, I found this eye supplement contains titanium dioxide which is a heavy metal. They make sunglasses with this ingredient. It also contains soy, which is not a healthy Ingredient as it affects hormone levels. Macutene does not contain these bad ingredients. On my last visit to the ophthalmologist my eyes had a perfect reading regarding macular degeneration. This is a good product with quality ingredients.

Works great! Have patience. Takes awhile. My husband has been on Macutene for about 4 yrs. And was taking the eye injections for several yrs. After a while the doc was impressed with his eyes, said to get injections every 6 weeks! After another checkup up he told my husband no more shots! He was thrilled of course. Still keeps taking macutene, probably for his lifetime.

Macular Degeneration is really really tough! This product has spared a shot for 6 months. Anyone who has to antisipate the SHOT knows what a relief it is to NOT to have to. Thank you for your focus on science and on our eyeballs that allow those of us to continue to see the world.

Meets my needs

I bought these on the advice of my eye doctor. I’ve received 4 separate shipments. Shipments 1 & 3 came in a glass bottle, shipments 2 & 4 came in a plastic bottle. The product in the plastic bottle is a slightly different color with a different taste. I don’t understand the inconsistency. I can’t speak to effectiveness yet, haven’t been back to the doctor. Delivery has always been very good.

does what it is supposed to do

My wife and I both use these vitamins, and they are among the best and both her and my eye doctor have given the thumbs up for the Macutene (ARED2). If you have Dry Macular Degeneration I would recommend using this brand.

Nehme erst seit 1 Woche das Präparat und ich hoffe, daß ich es mir nicht nur einbilde, aber ich habe das Gefühl, das es was bringt. Die Krankheit wird nicht geheilt, aber man kann sie vielleicht mit diesem Präparat aufhalten, außerdem sind diese Vitamine hilfreich für beide Augen.

Gut verpackt, schnell und relativ preiswert kam es bei mir an. Leider erst eine Woche her, ich glaub es benötigt noch Zeit um es beurteilen zu können. Ich hoffe es aber stark. Es schaut die Flasche und Verpackung aber anders im original bei mir aus, als auf dem Foto. Ich nehm es noch 1x morgendlich. Noch keine Änderung.

I cannot say anything so much about the physiological effects. But it arrived in time in a good condition.

I ordered 6 bottles of these capsules (one year's supply). Each bottle has the same expiry date 01.2025 which means that from February 2025 onward I will be taking these capsules after their expiry date. I feel like I have been tricked into buying old stock. Very disappointing.
