So pleased with this purchase! Rufus helped me pick this out from quite a few options. This is my first time interacting with this kind of appliance. We like to cook and recently purchased a chest freezer. This allows us to break down whole salmon fillets, pork, loins, and family packs of meat and freeze in portions. Vacuum sealing assures there’s no freezer burn. It is easy to see what is in the package one can write on the bags with a sharpie and things lay neatly in the freezer. I can seal a bag of chicken in marinade, wash the exterior of the bag with soap and water and then put that in the refrigerator without worrying about leaks, cross-contamination or having to re-organize to make space for a bowl or something. Because the seal is air tight it’s possible to put things to marinade a couple days in advance without problem. Great for meal prep and preplanning. We use both the bags that it comes with as well as a roll . We have yet to use the attachment to seal mason jars, but plan to in the future. As an entry level vacuum sealer, this seems to check every functional box. It is easy to clean and takes up very little space. It does take a little practice to get the hang of it, especially when you’re dealing with marinades and juicy things. There is a reservoir to catch liquid but it takes a bit of Finesse to determine how big of a bag you need and how much extra space is needed at the top. The roll comes in handy in those cases because the user determines the size . Fortunately, I drip in finesse. We double seal everything but that’s just an abundance of caution. The roll bags for instance, have a different thickness of plastic then the bags that come with the unit.

If you are looking for a great vacuum sealer this is it!!! This is 10x times better than my old brand name one that cost 4x this one and works much faster and also has a pulse sealing button for liquid sealing!!! THIS IS THE ONE YOU WANT!!!

Works great, sealed a T-Bone steak in under 40 seconds. The automatic vacuum seems to have great suction power. It’s small enough to put away in an empty kitchen drawer or just on a shelf. I have to figure out the sealing method because it seems to have not sealed in a tiny little spot about the thickness of a penny. But I would imagine that is just enough to eventually let air into the bag slowly. So it’s very easy to use. I highly recommend it. UPDATE: I tried using regular food saver rolls and cutting my own and they work much better, they are thicker and they only send you with 6 small bags. The key to a good seal is pressing the seal button 2x, and sealing twice in the same spot. I tried this on almonds today and it worked superb. So happy with my purchase.
