Jiva Organics Organic Jaggery Whole (Gur, Panela) 1 LB (454g) Cubes - Raw Wholesome Sugar/Organic Sugarcane - *NEW*

I seldom take the time to review any of the items I purchase, but I ordered two different cane jaggery and a palm jaggery that I received today. Hands down this was the most amazing and delicious sweet treat I've ever tasted. Blew the others out of the water. There is 9 large cubes (more like domes) in the container weighing about51 to 54 grams each. Knowing how hard it is to consume enough potassium, it's pretty cool knowing jaggery is over 1% potassium by weight which is a nice boost of natural goodness. Cutting off a little slab of this is a desert all by itself.

I VERY rarely write a review. But, I am so pleased with this product that I can’t resist. I have in the past bought solid jaggery in block form in a 1.1# block. I had to use a knife to break off chunks. They were never exactly the same size. So my tea was sometimes too sweet - sometimes not sweet enough. Then I tried palm jaggery in powder form. I liked being able to measure it. I didn’t like the cloudiness of my tea; and the taste did not please me as much as cane jaggery. And then, along came this product. Jaggery cubes. A brilliant and delicious idea. Three cubes were perfect for my teapot, which yields 2 cups of not cloudy, perfectly sweet tea. Bravo, Jiva!

I only gave it 4 stars because it was not nice cubes as shown in picture. More like a sticky powder - like brown sugar. However, the flavor was fantastic

It tastes great and it's soft for chewing.

Garbage. Doesn’t taste like Jaggery, has a funny smell. Then after taking the block out I saw mold all over the sides and bottom. Non-returnable item.
