Looking forward to seeing the lotuses

Perhaps this is just the 'right stuff' for it's stated purpose but I did not like it. It is very very fine and makes up a slurry that I not only found hard to work with but after use for several weeks growing Lotus it had become smelly. I think it was so fine that it became anaerobic. It could well be that I'm simply using it improperly, but this was my experience.

Used this as an aquarium substrate capped with sand. A-MAZE-ING. Highly recommended of label use

You will definitely need more than one bag. Even mixed with sand I had to use a smaller pot for a bog plant

Every time you add water it turns to muddy water then had a odor

The soil looks just as pictured, but it got everything it was shipped with covered in dust and dirt. Functionally, it works great, but I unfortunately did not get to use it all and cannot speak to the value. I did reach out to the Amazon team to let them know that this product was damaged as received, but there was no action taken so I am writing a review reflecting the state of what was received. This soil is not used for germination. Most of the water plants I have can be germinated in a water vessel on a windowsill and are later transported to soil once they have germinated and start to produce roots.
