Best Gimbal I've Owned
This is an amazing gimbal for the price! I have tried multiple phone and camera gimbals and this one is the best I have ever had. Balancing the gimbal is fairly straightforward if you have experience, otherwise it will take you about 30 minutes to a half hour IF you read the instructions carefully or find a good tutorial on YouTube. I have a Sony a6700 and was able to balance it quite easily with a Sigma 16mm lens. I tried balancing a Tamron 17-70mm zoom lens but it was too front heavy, so I now have a shorter and lighter Viltrox 56mm lens as a longer option. I got the kit on a flash sale from FeiyuTech and saved about $50. If you need a heavier setup, then go with the updated SCORP 3 Pro, otherwise this is a steal.

Excellent Gimbal At Great Price. Included Accessories Don't Match Gimbal's Quality
I recently decided to replace my aging iPhone gimbal to the Scorp 3 mini. It was such a huge improvement over my old laggy one I wondered what kind of video magic I could make with my Canon R5 II. So I ordered this Scorp 3 Kit. It’s been as fun to use as the mini and, I think, a huge value for the money compared to its higher priced competition. I haven’t tried any of the competitors, but I can’t imagine they had anything in build quality or functionality. The Scorp 3 is sold by itself and as this kit. The price difference between the two isn’t that much, but also may be an unnecessary expense if you can’t use the additional accessories. The kit includes a fill light, a ball head mount, an extension pole, and a carry case with removable shoulder strap. It sounds impressive but the quality of most of these does not match that of the Scorp 3 itself. I’d describe them as entry level. The 11” ¼-20 extension pole is the jewel of these accessories. It’s super light and ridged carbon fiber. You can buy it a la carte for about $25 so this alone covers the extra cost of the kit. However, if you already have a pole then you probably have better fill lights, mounts and cases too. Also, while I do like the pole, the screw pin is a tad short to offer maximum stability. The included fill light is bi-color but it’s not all that bright and is clunky to use. There is no way to quickly dial in a specific color temp. or brightness. The ball head feels like it was made to hold the hollow plastic fill light. I wouldn’t trust it for anything over ½ pound. Finally, the case. At first blush it looks to be well thought out. The outside is semi-rigid ballistic nylon. It opens butterfly style with the gimbal and accessories on one side, and a zippered protective cover on the other. Open this cover and there is zipper pouches to hold the various cables and plates. There is also an open area where you can place the extension pole diagonally. On closer inspection the case is odd because part of the area where gimbal and accessories rest aren’t molded into the case but is cheap removable foam. This is going to quickly get destroyed making the case less usable. It’s an odd design choice and if was to save money the better option would have been to not include the fill light and upgrade the case. In stark contrast the Scorp 3 itself is a fantastically designed and built gimbal. What I like most about it is that, while it has an app for making some settings, it doesn’t require an app to work. That bodes well for long term use, but also it means you don’t need to waste phone battery to shoot video. The built-in face detection works well though framing could be more even. This can be tweaked in the app if it bothers you. In-hand the gimbal feels great. The grips are nicely textured and in the right place to evenly distribute weight mitigating tired arms and allowing for good mobility while recording. All the controls are well positioned to be in easy reach. Gimbal operation is very smooth with low motor noise making editing less taxing. Another nice feature is the removable remote. It means one less accessory to carry around. The screen is beautiful and modern looking, but most important, easy and quick to configure settings. The Scorp 3 isn’t lacking for features. The product page describes them well so no point to me repeating. I haven’t tried them all yet, but the ones I have used have worked as advertised. I especially like the ability to set A-B focus points.

Balancing is tricky at first
So far so good. Sturdy, AI was easy to setup. The balancing takes time to get it ... still haven't mastered switching between phone and camera yet... but over all its worth the money. I figure I won't be in a situation where time is critical and switching between cameras while filming is of essence.

Compared to the DJI RS-4 Mini...
I have this and the DJI RS-4 Mini and having both I can say some early impressions of this Feiyutech. Both are fairly equal to me as far as basic function. I think the AI Tracking on the DJI may be a little more accurate but both work well. The standout feature on the Feiyutech so far is the REMOTE HANDLE feature which I use to control the gimbal from another room (using a GoPro Hero13 for the camera with the display sent to my smartphone so I use that picture to aim the gimble). Right now, for this feature I actually prefer this Feiyutech over the DJI but the remote feature is perhaps available for the DJI using their app...but I use my phone for the GoPro display so that would be a hassle. If the remote handle interests you then you have to buy this model but for just a tracking gimbal the DJI may be more robust but it is also larger. For most people I think save some money and get the Feiyuteck instead of the more expensive DJI but to be honest they are both sweet. I plan to get another GoPro and use BOTH gimbals at the same time to get two different perspectives at the same time. But I'm weird like that so...

Stopped Working Within a Week
I loved this gimbal at first, but that didn’t last. After only four days and a couple of uses, the removable remote handle completely failed. All Bluetooth functionality stopped working, firmware updates repeatedly failed, and the gimbal began randomly power cycling. To make matters worse, the service help number listed in the downloadable manual is discontinued.

SMALL, DOES IT ALL. HALF THE PRICE OF DJI
NICE! This is an awesome gimbal, it handles payload great. I personally replaced a Crane M3S with this even though it is a tad bigger with the removable handle. But the wireless control of the gimbal and camera is amazing. Great for all occasions, I even put this case in my backpack for a 13 mile hike ;) I love it!

Not worth it. The app is very bad, very limited, specially when you are paying so much. The zoom option is glitchy on the knob. The APP needs severe upgrade to come near HOHEM or DJI. doesn't feel sturdy as well. Started to glitch when connected to smartphone. Buy it if for 800 to 900dhs for the whole kit, not worth 1300. In this day and age you would want a gimbal that can zoom in and out using the knob for videography. I have Hohem m7 for phones only and that does the job without any issue. This model is twice the cost, and off course for camera/phones/action cam etc...it doesnt do much. Then it ls better to buy a used zhiyun weebill s which is 5 years old but has more capability.

A highly capable, feature-packed gimbal ideal for travel and semi-professional filming. It excels in stabilisation, with smooth motion for dynamic shots up to running speed, and offers excellent AI tracking and gesture control for hands-free operation. The detachable remote handle and quick-release system make reframing and device switching easy, while the built-in display and jog wheel give precise manual control without relying on an app. Comfortable for extended use due to compact size and low weight, though setup and balancing require some patience if you are not experienced. The manual could be better, and it doesn’t include a case, but overall it delivers professional-quality footage for mirrorless cameras or smartphones.
