Comfortable sleep monitor
Really pleased with the monitor. Works really well and is comfortable to wear while asleep. In the morning I have to refresh the Garmin app a few times for the stats to show but that isn’t a problem.

Poor at detecting anf monitoring when a person is actually asleep
The monitor is very lightweight and is not uncomfortable to wear, even over extended periods and does not inhibit sleep. So why the 1 star? It does not work. Over 4 consecutive nights, the device only managed to detect and monitor 2 nights' sleep of ~1hr, so results (surprise, surprise!) Poor Sleep, despite me actually getting 8 hrs. It simply fails to accurately detect and monitor when you are actually asleep. Returned and refund requested

Sceptical
Updated: device does "settle down" and has actually becone fairly accurate (in line with other industry devices). Convenient as its worn a band. Not a bad device just a little high on the price side. Placeholder review: I'm sceptical. The device still uses the Garmin format of setting your "sleep window".The first night I tried to stick to the "window" to get a base set of data. The device did not record my sleep and wake time at all, I had to set it manually! The data between what I guestimated my actual fall asleep time was and wake time was recorded HRV etc but it feels to user dependent. I can go back at any time and edit the fall asleep and wake times. There is no device recorded start and finish it's bizarre

Unreliable, frustrating and not worth the price
The idea behind this product makes sense. A dedicated sleep band so you don't have to wear your watch to bed. Unfortunately, the execution falls well short of what you'd expect from Garmin at this price point. The most frustrating issue is that it simply fails to detect sleep some nights. You can open the app in the morning and see a full night of heart rate data, proof the band was working and worn correctly, yet no sleep session is recorded. For a product whose entire purpose is sleep tracking, this is a fundamental failure. Syncing is the other persistent problem. Getting the band to talk to the app can take anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes, and sometimes it doesn't happen at all regardless of how many times you try. This is a daily frustration, not an occasional one. On top of this, the number of times I've had to remove and re-add the device entirely because it simply stops working is frankly unbelievable. This is not a minor bug; it's a recurring issue that suggests something is fundamentally wrong with how the device maintains its connection. Garmin clearly didn't put this through sufficient real-world testing before release. These aren't edge cases; they're core functions that don't work reliably. At this price, that's not acceptable. If you're already in the Garmin ecosystem and want to avoid wearing your watch to bed, the appeal is obvious. But until Garmin addresses these reliability issues properly, I can't recommend it.

I like it
It's very good. It works well, it feels well. One star off, as it would not pair. It took me some time to mess around with Bluetooth and the Connect app to make it work. It should have been another star off for a really high price but so far so good. It works well.

Fine, but check compatibility
Does what it says on the tin, but if you're planning to use this alongside an existing Garmin watch make sure your watch has Body Battery TrueUp which is limited to newer models, or you'll get no stress and body battery data.

Completely, disappointingly inaccurate
Yes, it’s a comfortable arm band, but that’s about it. Sleep tracking is absolutely terrible. It cannot distinguish between times of low activity (such as when you’re reading in bed) and sleep and therefore gives you an incorrectly high sleep score. I bought it because I didn’t want to pay for it & wear my whoop 24/7 anymore, but it is a totally inferior product that is so inaccurate it will do nothing to assist you with training or recovery metrics.

Must Buy sleep device. Garmin Sleep Index= 👍, Oura Ring=👎, Whoop Strap= 👎
This sleep monitor gives you exactly what you need to track your sleep. Way better and way cheaper than the Oura Ring or the Whoop device. You pay one time and there are no subscriptions. Also, the material is very comfortable. I don’t even notice while Im sleeping.
