How do they hold up after use, snapped against 100 time or more? Wear?

They're rimfire, so no. Maybe 10 times a piece. I just use them to decock the gun between shooting sessions. Not for dry fire practice.

Will this work for a .22 magnum?

The .22 mag. is a larger diameter than .22 LR. Therefore the .22 LR snap caps will be a little on the small side. That being said, they may work. Just make sure the firing pin is hitting the rim of the snap can.

These work in the smith and wesson m&p 15-22?

They will work in any 22 cal gun. If your intent is to use them as snap caps for practise and cycling the weapon, it might not meet your needs. I use them as snap caps in myy 22 pistols. I have some that hav a disconnector and can not be fired without the mag in, so I place one in, cycle it and then pull the trigger. Savesa the barrel. You are not suppose to pull a cocked trigger on an empty chamber, it will ping the barrel and damage it. I use these for that, to save the barrel, and release tension on the recoil spring.

Does what it’s intended to do

I use 22 lr snap caps to de-cock the springs in my 22’s. Not really interested in cycling through magazines. Probably get 10 uses or so out of each unit. Once fired brass works well too, but I prefer using the orange plastic snap caps for safety. Easy to tell what’s in the chamber. Used in semi-autos, revolvers and bolt actions without issue. If you try to overuse one, the rim will mostly split off, but I can live with that if it happens (rarely).

Great training and safety tool

Great product. I got them because I got my daughter a Crickett .22lr so we could safely go over things before going to range. Since then, I’ve used these in my ruger 10/22 and surplus MAS 45 and M69, they chambered well and proved to be a great training and safety tool.
