What are these nordic curl strap used for?

How to install the nordic curl strap?

Step 1: Adjustable hamstring curl strap adjusts the length according to your shoe size. Step 2: Slide the door anchor under the door and close the door. Step 3: Place your foot in and adjust the strap for a comfortable fit to begin the exercise.

Does this need to be used on a safety door (i.e. a door used to separate indoors and outdoors) or can it be used on weaker doors?

It can be used on weaker doors. If you think your door is very weak you can always try by pulling the strap with legs slowly and looking if the door is starting to bend towards you. If that happens you should try a different door to prevent damage to the door and injury to you.

My home gym doesn't have a door. Could I pin this under plates on the barbell, or tie or carabiner clip to the power rack?

You can choose something heavy enough to press on the yellow webbing to practice, but the weight needs to be heavy enough to support your weight, otherwise you risk falling.

Well made and essential part of my workout that saves me from back injuries

It's great and well made and holds up me no problem and is a terrific workout but I would recommend this more to experienced athletes and gym trained people. f you're not in shape or a newbie to training, you need to be careful or you may hurt yourself or not use it effectively enough. It's a essential part of my basketball workouts because it gives me a strong core and lower back, saving me from back injuries and letting me jump for longer durations. One of the best purchases I've made.
