Fast hot water that doesn't run out. Very pleased. *Tips on how to use tankless water heaters.*
First time RV owner here and first time replacing a water heater! I was tired of taking 3-minute showers with the 6-gallon water heater in my RV. After some research, I opted for the Kohree tankless water heater with the added outside shower. So far, I'm impressed! I must say getting to the water heater and cleaning up sealant residue was the hardest part of the install. I am also adding a washer/dryer combo hookup which made the whole project a bit more complicated. I had to tear up my RV to run drain pipes, water lines, etc. The Kohree water heater itself was surprisingly easy to hook up. The included instructions were easy to follow. Just connect two power wires (- +), two blue wires to the controller (it doesn't matter which one goes to which), screw in the water lines and liquid propane line. Mount the controller in a convenient location, in the bathroom if possible. That's about it! The 'hard work' involved rerouting PEX-B water lines to the heater. The Kohree water heater is about 6 inches shorter than my original heater, and the water and propane inlets on the back are arranged differently. The propane line in my RV is flexible and was easy to relocate by pushing some of it below the RV floor where it comes in from the LP tanks. Installation difficulty may vary depending on your RV, of course. Compared to the original water heater in my RV, The Kohree tankless water heater just looks premium. Really premium. I really love the style and finish on the Kohree water heater, especially the outside and inside the access door. It is fully finished and painted in gloss white. The Kohree tankless water heater delivers hot water on demand and for as long as you need it. The controller starts up right away once the heater turns on and is very easy to use. So far, I'm very pleased with this Kohree tankless water heater. It's an excellent value at this very competitive price. It's much more useful to me than my original tank water heater. It looks way fancier than my original water heater. Aaaand I can take long hot showers again? Yes, please! ------------------------ Note: I keep seeing reviews about tankless water heaters being finicky, unreliable, etc. I have used a tankless home water heater, so (I hoped) I knew what I would be facing -- and I was right. Here's the deal: Using a tank water heater is different from using a tankless water heater. - With a tank water heater, you can set the temperature relatively high, say 140 degrees F. Then, you mix hot and cold water to get the warm temperature you want. - With a tankless water heater, you set the temperature to the max you want (for example, 107 degrees F to shower), then ONLY use hot water. Why? Because a tankless water heater requires a certain amount of water (GPM) flowing through it to work. When you mix hot and cold water to lower the temperature, you're bypassing the water heater. The amount of water (GPM) passing through it drops below the minimum threshold, so it shuts off. I experimented: If two or more people use ONLY hot water at the same time (shower, dishes), the Kohree tankless water heater still works fine. But if one person uses hot water (shower) and another uses cold water (flush toilet, sink), the water heater shuts off until the cold water is turned off. Then, it resumes working right away. Having the water temperature control panel in an easy to reach location while showering is important. It may save you from getting scalded! ------------------------ ------------------------ Helpful things to note about the Kohree tankless water heater: - The water temperature goes up a bit more after about 1 to 2 minutes of use (i.e. while showering). It helps to set it 5 - 7 degrees colder than expected during initial testing. I set mine to 107 degrees F and it's hot but not scalding hot. - The Kohree water heater fits the 13" x 13" hole in my RV wall slightly more snugly than the original water heater. There's about a 1/4 in gap on top, vs 1/2 in gap for the original heater. - The water inlet fittings are different from my original water heater (male vs female). The ones on the Kohree water heater are easier to remove and reinstall by hand, so I'm happy to have them. I had to purchase them and other PEX-B hoses and fittings separately. - The water heater fuse is easily accessible from inside the outside access door. - The access door latch is much nicer and sturdier than the one on the original water heater. - The kit includes a small roll of white butyl tape which should be sufficient to cover the access door seal with a single layer of butyl tape. This may work well to install against a flat surface. - The Kohree water heater access door has a wide flange/frame around it and is slightly smaller than the original door. This causes the mounting screw holes to be closer to the center of the heater. I had to angle the mounting screws out in order to get them to grab onto the RV wall. The mounting holes are in different locations than the holes in the original water heater. - I recommend using slightly larger and higher grade screws than the ones that come with the Kohree water heater. I stripped the Phillips heads on two of them with an impact driver. Using the screws from my old water heater, which have a square head, worked much better. - The back of the access door flange is hollow, with only the inner 1/2" wide of the flange being flat. This may cause issues with sealing the RV wall against water intrusion if the hole in your RV wall is oversized. I am installing this water heater on a corrugated RV wall. Instead of butyl tape, I opted for self adhesive rubber foam tape, which is what was used to seal the original water heater in my RV. For my RV, I'll need sealing tape at least 3/4" wide to cover the gaps around the water heater. Unfortunately, the first product I purchased did not compress well. It didn't seal fully, even when using two layers. I then ordered "Maximum Compression Sponge 1" x1/2", Rubber Foam Strip Adhesive" on AZ. This product does compress well. It looks and feels exactly like the stuff that was used to install the original water heater in my RV. I used a layer of the 1/2" wide x 1/4" thick rubber foam tape I already had to make the flange base wider and then use the 1" wide compression tape over it.

Great unit; great price
Bought this as a replacement for a 3.5 year old discontinued Fogatti. This unit is virtually identical, directed it replacement with more features. This unit was also 1/3 the price I paid for the Fogatti.

Did not include all of required connectors.
Seems like a really nice unit, but they do not give me all the connectors for the inlets and outlets. I had to spend money and a lot of time to find the correct sizes. This unit is built for a motor home, so the connection sizes are smaller and not standard.

Great Quality, Instant Hot Water, Compact
We installed this in our camper recently, and it’s been great so far. My husband is a plumber and had no issues with installation. It delivers hot water instantly, no more waiting for a tank to heat up! The 15" ×15" door blends in nicely. The remote control makes operation super convenient. It’s compact and efficient making it perfect for small spaces. Overall, I’m really happy with its performance and would recommend it to fellow RVers.

Instant Hot Showers Anywhere; Compact, Safe, and Pretty Clever
I installed this Kohree tankless water heater in my RV, and it’s been a game-changer for quick hot showers. It cranks out up to 2.9 gallons per minute at 60,000 BTU, which means no more waiting around for the tank to fill up or warm up. Plus, it includes an external shower outlet, so washing up outside, like cleaning muddy paws or rinsing off after a hike, is easy and convenient. The remote control feature is brilliant; all the temp settings, diagnostics, and even warnings show up right on the controller, so you don’t have to keep opening the door to check things. Adding to the peace of mind, it’s packed with safety features, boil-dry protection, anti-freezing, overheat shutoff, gas-leak detection, and more. It also handles high altitude surprisingly well, which is great if you ever head into the mountains. As far as cons, it’s not the cheapest option out there, so expect to pay a bit more than basic tank models. And while the door size is standardized, check your mounting space because you’ll need a 15” x 15” slot and proper venting. Bottom line? For anyone who wants instant, flexible hot water with built-in safety in their rig, this heater rules. Just be ready to spend a little extra and prep your RV layout accordingly.
