Great, just know 15dB is 1/2 the protection of foam earplugs
These sound great. Really worth it for anyone involved in live music. Not a mark against the product, but be careful with these and playing LOUD music. 15dB isn't enough to keep your ears safe, playing, or being near cracking drums. The 25dB ones are the right ones for that, something I wished my audiologist knew when I got these years ago, my hearing would still be perfect... These are good for regular, not brutal drumming, and concert going, and live sound. I also use them for construction, and they're great for keeping in the whole time, hammering nails, using saws, impact drivers, while being able to still understand people speaking at a normal volume. Also used them for recording and radio performances in the same room as the drums, under the headphones, and you just crank up the headphones and get a good mix without blowing out your ears.

Good product, wrong size
I lost a filter for my in-ear molds and was hoping this would be the replacement I needed but unfortunately it’s too large as the filters I need are smaller. It looks like the same type though and would be good for the right sized molds.

It will save my husband’s hearing.
It replaces one of the original plugs that my husband lost.

Sounds good to me
Bought this to replace one that fell out on me and disappeared. Fits fine in my molds and sounds the same as my other. I will note that the 15s have a good balanced sound, but do kind of take me out of the feel when at a live show. Good for protecting my ears during a crummy opener or at a venue where the sound is garbage. For playing loud music they are great, although they do mess with your ability to gauge levels and kind of take away from the high frequency 'presence'...I suppose you can eventually get used to this. If the prices ever go down I might try the ER-9's for something that attenuates a little less.

Glad it’s perfect
Was afraid I’d have to ask the doctor to reorder but this was less expensive and is perfect

Worth every penny
I use this filter in my Westone custom musicians ear plugs and it fits in and works like a charm. Hearing protection is very important to me, and although I didn't exactly love having to replace one of them for a relatively high cost--it is worth it to me. Had to buy a replacement as the original had been knocked out at a concert.

Expensive but exactly what I was looking for
These are the exact filters I was looking for. I had some Westone ear protection made about 5 years ago. I broke one of the filters because they are sorta delicate. Glad I was able to track these down. Also, it says $30 but it doesn't state that you actually get a pair of them. I only needed one so now I have an extra.

works fine - minus 1 star for seller-induced confusion
The only people looking for this are people who already have fitted earplugs, so you all know exactly what this thing is.Like the title says, I was frustrated to order and receive a single filter, which I admit, is what the description (quietly) says, but when a product is *almost exclusively* used in pairs, I feel like the description should have gone out of its way to say "BE SURE TO BUY QTY 2".So, in my case, I wasn't careful, and wound up having to wait an extra week and pay for shipping again. When I received my second filter (to complete the pair) it arrived in the manufacturer's bag THAT HAD BEEN LABELED "PAIR" and then crossed out in ball point pen by the distributor, since they had sold me the other one the week prior. Gah. Anyway, not the fault of the manufacturer at all.I already had a PAIR of 25db filters, and wanted to back off the suppression a bit. The 15db for musicians has a flatter frequency response that is immediately noticeable and quite an improvement for actually hearing the voice of instruments around you. These just pop into your molds. If you pinch your mold at the base of the filter, the filter will "squirt" out of the mold pretty easily. I now carry both sets of filters in my gear so I can swap in which ever is more appropriate. These filters still seem to cost 50 to 100 times what they probably cost to produce, but if you have tinnitus like me, their value is hard to deny. If I could turn back time and have been wearing some molded earplugs during one particular gig in my 20s, I would gladly pay a fortune.
