Easy to set up, great sound, and a real bargain
My wife and I are seniors who sometimes have trouble hearing the dialogue while watching TV shows and movies. Some years ago we bought a device that boosted the dialogue as promised, but at the expense of the rest of the sound tracks. Music, especially was muted, which really dampened our enjoyment of movie musicals. Finally, it was apparent that we were ready for newer technology. Prior to making a purchase I read dozens of reviews, watched quite a few Youtube videos, and even used ChatGPT for advice and side by side comparisons of multiple products. After all that, factoring in our budget as well as the features, I settled on the Ultimea 5.1 Channel Surround Sound Bar with Subwoofer. It had so much more than I expected, and the price didn't bust the bank. Even for this old guy, assembly and setup were easy. I just put together the two speakers, plugged the subwoofer into it, plugged the HDMI cable into the ARC port of my television, plugged in the power pack, and I was ready to go. We have an older Sony Bravia television, and I did need to tweak a few settings in the AV area before I got any sound. That only took a minute to locate and adjust. Then I picked a movie online that had both songs and a lot of dialogue to really see if this sound bar could deliver what I was looking for. I was not disappointed. The dialogue came in crisp and easy to understand, and to be honest, was clearer than our previous sound bar system that was designed primarily to boost dialogue. Other things I liked were the fact that the subwoofer didn't overpower the room. I've had home theater systems and found I had to really turn down the subwoofers because the entire household could feel the bass when it came on. I wanted something a little more subtle, and that's what I got. Now I should mention that the Ultimea sound bar has plenty of power, 300 watts worth, but I don't need all of that, at least not unless I decide to throw a dance party. For watching TV it's perfect. Another thing I like is that it comes with lots of pre-sets, but also an equalizer that you can use to fine tune each preset according to your own tastes. While I was watching the movie to test it, I gave it a little more bass, and boosted the mid-range a little, and it was exactly what I wanted. I couldn't be more pleased. Because of the size of my TV's base, I had to elevate it the TV so the new soundbar didn't block the spot where the TV read the remote's signal. Ironically, I'm using the old dialogue enhancing console as a riser. My TV is on a narrow buffet, so in order to have room for the cables in the back of the ULTIMEA sound bar, I had to set it up a little to the right of the old console. However, that didn't affect the great sound produced by the new sound bar, so I'm happy. I did install the app, and plan on exploring all of the other capabilities of this device, including the Bluetooth. I'm going to play music from my phone, and I know from the documentation, I can pull up a visual equalizer if I want to tweak the sound even more. This may be the best keptt secret on Amazon in terms of getting the most "bang for your buck." It's a steal at a little over $120, considering the quality of the soundbar and subwoofer, and all of the technology packed into it, not to mention how easy it is to set up. I readily give it 5 stars for quality, ease of set up, bargain price, and performance.

Best for the $$
This sound-bar set up is first rate. Packaged very well for shipping, easy assembly (less than 5 minutes to using it), easy to operate with a very loaded remote control and it doesn't take up as much space as did my previous unit from B*se. The voice quality is so clear and crisp that I don't have to rely on Closed Captioning to follow the movie. Downloaded the app and used the equalizer to set up and save a few different configurations for different types of music. Bluetooth is easy and simple and 300w sound amazing, the sub isn't too overwhelming but hits like it should to compliment the sound-bar. Very good system for the money.

This Little Fella Gives BOSE Home Theater Systems A Run for Their Money
INITIAL REVIEW: Excellent! The Sound Bar is very easy to setup. When I first opened the box and realized how tiny the soundbar and subwoofer were, as someone who already has two elaborate Bose Home Theater Systems, I was skeptical whether it would produce any good sound. I was wrong! Although this cannot be compared to my high-end Bose systems, this little fella packs quite a few big sounds punches. I needed this for my bedroom flat TV where I do not need anything as heavy as my high-end Bose systems, and this soundbar works perfect with just the right amounts of punches and clarity. I love it! I highly recommend this soundbar. UPDATED REVIEW (04-13-2026): I initially gave this Sound Bar five stars after setting up the first one I purchased. Since then, I purchased two additional sets, then I noticed a major problem. The Optical port does not work in any of the three sets. Also, the Bluetooth does not work in two of the three sets. Very disappointing. I returned one set. Therefore, I am changing my review from five stars to only two stars. LAST UPDATED REVIEW (May 08, 2026): I purchased three Poseidon M60s Soundbars, but I returned one of them. Then I received an email from the manufacturer (seller) with heartfelt apologies and an offer for an upgrade. They sent me the upgraded Skywave F40. This Skywave F40 that I recently receive is a kind and unexpected replacement from the manufacturer (seller? for one of the two remaining Poseidon M60s (lower soundbar tier than the Skywave) that I purchased. I initially was not expecting this upgrade, but the manufacturer reached out to me and offered me an upgraded system. However, that does not, and should not, affect my review here. Although the Poseidon M60s are great (easy to use and have great sound, but I had a little issue with the Optical port); this Skywave replacement is a lot more advanced with more impressive features. For examples, it has forward-firing speakers, side-firing speakers, up-firing speakers, and two surround rear speakers (automatically paired and synched wirelessly). Moreover, the soundbar and sub-woofer of this Skywave are a lot more stylish and streamlined, with gold accents, and it fits any décor – whether hidden off sight or placed in open view. I have been using two separate BOSE 535 III Serries Home Theater system, which are outstanding. However, the Poseidon M60 and Skywave F40 almost rival the Bose systems I have in terms of sound clarity and the Skywave F40’s surround; and at a fraction of the costs of the Bose systems. In fact, the little fellas carry some nice punches and give the Bose systems a run for their money. For example, when watching a movie with the Skywave F40, and you see a vehicle or train coming from the northwest (front-left) of your big screen heading towards the southeast (rear-right); you can literally hear the sound coming from the front left side of the room, coming towards you, passing you by, and vanishing through the rear right side of the room behind you. That’s exactly what my BOSE systems do, they cost me thousands of dollars more. My conclusion: Both the Poseidon M60 and Skywave soundbars are simply marvelous; with the Skywave F40 also having the Bose edge. I can confidently say that both the Poseidon M60 and Skywave F40 deserve FIVE FULL STARS, especially at their price points.

Budget Soundbar - Decent Performance
This is a budget soundbar, do not expect mind blowing audio performance out of this thing. I installed this sound bar in a budget home theater room connecting it to a smart projector using Bluetooth. Installing is extremely easy. The sound bar comes in 2 separate pieces, connect the 2 pieces together and plug in the power cord. The subwoofer uses a RCA cable that plugs into the sound bar. There are multiple connections for an audio source including Bluetooth. There are plenty of options to adjust such as Treble, Mid and Bass. You can have an audio source hooked up to the sound bar and still control the audio settings and volume through the smartphone app via Bluetooth. Or you can use the included remote. Audio performance is GOOD for the price point. The soundbar itself works great and gives so much more sound and movie experience than any built-in speakers on a TV or projector can offer. The subwoofer is definitely lacking for anyone who likes more BOOM. However, if you unplug the subwoofer during a movie or video, you will see although "WEAK" it still provides enough bass to notice a difference. This soundbar is an extremely good value for anyone who wants more sound and can accept only a little amount of bass.

Good soundbar, and a great value.
I wanted to improve the audio quality on our 42" LG C3 OLED TV. Our TV's built-in speakers were OK, but I wanted something with a bit more volume and separation. I had considered getting a decent pair of active bookshelf speakers, but this sound bar cost considerably less than the speakers I was considering, and it seemed to have a lot of features at a low price. I was a bit skeptical, but the Ultimea Poseidon M60 got good reviews on Amazon and YouTube. Also, since it supported connection through eARC HDMI, I thought it would be simpler to set up and configure than bookshelf speakers. In fact, it only took about 5 minutes to set it up and get this soundbar working. The sound quality and separation are considerably better than the TV's internal speakers. My TV automatically detected the sound bar and configured it as the default audio. To test it, I viewed several Dolby Atmos and SurroundSound demos on YouTube and some action scenes from a few movies, and it does a great job for a relatively inexpensive unit. It synchronizes perfectly with the action. There are no delays or lag using eARC. (It probably won't magically fix bad English voiceovers on old Godzilla movies, though!) I haven't tried the smartphone app yet, but it doesn't really seem necessary since all the important controls are available through controls on the sound bar and on the remote. With the eARC HDMI connection, the TV remote pretty much does anything I would want. The sound bar automatically turns on and off with the TV, and the default sound quality is good for movies, voice, and music. Based on my initial tests, you wouldn't even need to fiddle with the controls at all unless you want to also use it as a Bluetooth speaker, or if you want to change the sound profile. I find the default configuration to be reasonably good for any scenario. It just works. (This was important to me, as my wife hates having to mess with a bunch of buttons just to watch a movie.) It may seem obvious, but it's best to center it under the TV. When I initially set it up, I temporarily placed it to the side to make it easier to connect the cables. I found that the surround sound effect is lost if you're seated just a few feet to the left or right of center.

Best for the price
I’ve been using the ULTIMEA Poseidon M60 Boom 5.1 Soundbar for a bit now, and honestly, it’s one of those products that punches way above its price point. If you’re coming from built-in TV speakers like I was, the difference is immediate and honestly kind of shocking. 🎬 Sound Quality & Performance The biggest standout for me is the 5.1 surround sound with Dolby Atmos support. For a soundbar in this price range, I didn’t expect such a wide and immersive soundstage. Watching movies feels way more cinematic — you can actually hear sounds moving across the room instead of everything coming straight from the TV. Dialogue clarity is another huge win. Voices are crisp and easy to understand, even during loud action scenes, which is something my TV speakers struggled with a lot. There’s also built-in voice enhancement tech that really helps balance everything out. The subwoofer adds solid bass — it’s not over-the-top, but it gives explosions, music, and background effects a lot more depth without being overwhelming. It feels balanced rather than boomy. 🎮 Everyday Use (Movies, Music, Gaming) I’ve tested it across pretty much everything: • Movies: Easily the best use case—feels like a mini home theater • Gaming: Directional audio actually helps with immersion • Music: Surprisingly clean, especially for Bluetooth streaming Bluetooth 5.4 makes pairing quick and stable, and I didn’t notice any lag when streaming audio. ⚙️ Setup & Features Setup was super simple — plug in the soundbar, connect the subwoofer, and you’re basically good to go. No complicated receiver or wiring mess. It also comes with: • HDMI eARC (great for high-quality audio) • Optical & USB connections • App + EQ presets for customization • Remote control for quick adjustments All of that makes it really beginner-friendly if you’ve never owned a sound system before. 👍 What I Loved • Huge upgrade over TV speakers • Clear dialogue without constant volume adjustments • Solid bass that doesn’t overpower • Easy setup (no technical headache) • Great value for the price 👎 Small Downsides • Surround effect is more “virtual” than true rear speakers • Bass is good, but not “shake the house” level • Some fine-tuning controls could be better 🏁 Final Verdict Overall, the Poseidon M60 is an excellent budget-friendly home theater upgrade. It gives you a taste of Dolby Atmos and surround sound without needing a full, expensive setup. If you’re looking for something that’s easy to install, sounds great for movies and gaming, and doesn’t break the bank — this is honestly a solid choice. ⭐ Rating: 9.5/10 – Great value, impressive performance for the price.

Mindblowing 5.1 Dolby Atmos "Budget" Soundbar
I was not familiar with the brand Ultimea so I relied heavily on reading the reviews and now I'm definitely aware of Ultimea. Realistically, this M60 5.1 Dolby Atmos soundbar can't compete with true 5.1 systems or much more expensive systems but I would guess that this "budget" soundbar would more than impress 90% of the general public. The Poseidon M60 is an incredible 5.1 Dolby Atmos soundbar at a phenomenal price given how well it performs in ALL content whether it's Dolby Atmos, music, movies, sports, etc. I found this soundbar does exceptionally well with movies and music. I was looking for a 5.1 system to take full advantage of my new LG C5 OLED TV but I wasn't sure if I wanted rear satellites with wires all over the place. I know there's BT soundbars but it's always been hit and miss for me with connectivity and sound/lip syncing issues so I wanted a hardwired system. So when I came across the M60 I liked the compact set up of the 5 drivers built into the soundbar and a hardwired subwoofer which would make for a clean and easy install and give me 5.1 Dolby Atmos. It's not true 5.1 Surround Sound since you don't have rear satellites but the soundbar does give you a real sense of sound coming from the sides instead of just in front of you. I'm very impressed with how well the center channel does at handling the voice/vocals. It's clear and precise that you catch everything that's said because at least for me and my set up the vocals sit on top of everything else rather than being buried underneath the bass or treble. And the subwoofer for a 5.1 Dolby Atmos system under a $100 is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC and adds a nice punch and dimension to your content that is strong but doesn't drown out everything else. The mids and highs are quite crisp and sharp without being screechy even when I turn the treble all the way up to 6 in any of the "default" settings on the remote like movie, music, voice, etc. Now if you set a custom EQ setting in the app you shouldn't use the remote to turn the bass, treble, or mid range up and down. Doing that will revert you back to the "default" setting which will take you out of your personal EQ setting you set. You can however still adjust the "surround" and "xupmix" and keep your personal EQ setting. My preferred EQ setting in the app is "customize" and leaving my EQ flat (which is how I use most things with an EQ since that gives you the most accurate sound intended by the sound engineer, producer, singer, director, etc.). Plus I don't want to have to fuss with the EQ every time I change content (music, movies, streaming, etc.) and I feel that flat is the best all around setting for me. And I've played around with the "style" setting in the app which is mainly used for music but I just leave it dead center. Go ahead and play around and find what EQ setting works for you and the specific content you enjoy. There are preset EQ settings on the remote and in the app for movies, music, voice, sport, gaming, and night and I have to say they actually do a good job of changing the sound profile that there's a clear difference between them all. And the M60 really does give me Dolby Atmos/5.1 on Netflix, Disney, HBO Max, etc. (may need premium subscriptions to get Dolby Atmos). I'm so impressed with this "budget" soundbar that I've ordered a second one for my new TCL QM8K and I can't wait for it to arrive.

Perfecta!!!
