EKWB EK-Vardar EVO 120ER RGB 120mm PWM Fan, 2200 RPM, Black, 2-Pack

I just purchased the two pack of these fans and the RGB doesn't work on either one. I was replacing another EKWB fan of the same kind that came with my custom loop kit that had a horrible scratching noise when it was running. The fans are the exact same model, yet the RGB doesn't work on 2/2 of the fans when plugged in.EDIT: I realized after I sent the item back that there are two models of these fans. One is just regular RGB and one is Digital RGB or D-RGB. MAKE SURE YOU GET THE RIGHT ONE. The regular will not work with a D-RGB connector if that is what your MB has.

i had a competing company's fans installed on 2 360 rad's and running the EK-loop connect controller and software. one of the fans failed, and as such i decided that since all my other fittings, and rads and controller were EK and since it directly identifies all fans as the Vardar EVO RGB, i figured i'd go with it.So i changed out the fluids, also EK, and get everything plugged in, and well, the RGB isn't working. a little research and i find out that EK gear is about 1/2 5V and 1/2 12V. the loop connect is 5v only.The reason for 1 star is due to company inconsistencies.I expect a no name off the shelf company that has no reputation that doesn't charge a premium for it's products to have things that aren't interoperable, but EK is not a no name company.EK Charges a Premium for it's name, and yet it's a crap shoot as to what you get with their stuff i'm finding.EK loop connect doesn't work when you have other RGB software installed, well, since the Vardar fans aren't able to be controlled by the box.... i'll be returning them and searching for another fan maker.too bad noctua isn't RGB... yet

Reasons you might think of buying these.1. They have pretty RGB. - They do, but not as pretty as Corsair or Thermaltake.2. They move a ton of air through radiators. - That's true, they have insane CFM through a radiator, sort of. I say sort of, because you probably won't be able to find a way to make them properly work. They spend most of their life just revving or giving outrageous RPM values while running at fairly low RPM. The only way to get them to function is lock them at 100%. That's cool, I guess, but that's stupid when my PC is under 0 load.3. They come highly recommended by Jayztwocents. - Paid ads are a thing, as much as I like that guy, he either got paid to say they were a good product, or he runs them at 100% all the time.Worth noting. These are INCREDIBLY ***LOW*** quality for the amount that you pay for them. They don't even include any kind of vibration dampening. Seriously? $30.00USD+ per fan, and you give me some generic plastic shrouds?Stay away. If you want quality, buy Corsair, Thermaltake, Cooler Master, be quiet!, Arctic, hell, anything other than these.

purchased these for my water cooling build. I purchased these on the EKWB website simply because I was price shopping various parts and the total for all items came out cheaper from their than it did on Amazon but the price for the fans were pretty equal on both sites. They look very nice in my build. They are pretty quiet except when my computer randomly ramps up and my fans go at full speed.

Labeled as a 2 pack and only received one.

Very easy to install, love the PWM! Also be sure to have a RGB splitter if installing multiple fans.
