I have an issue with squirrels crawling up into my engine bay in the late stages of fall wanting to store apples that fall from the trees I unfortunately can’t avoid parking between. A few google searches told me the solution is to spray inside my engine bay a mixture of peppermint & cinnamon essential oils. Rodents cannot tolerate the intensity of the smell, but it’s not harmful the them or the environment. I can confirm it works! IIRC, it calls for 2oz of each essential oil mixed (really well) with 2 cups of water. Or, you can just add concentrated drops right from the bottle to strategic areas, but the spray mix ensures you get a larger coverage without having to use as much. If you’re going to ask, was there any overwhelming smell afterwards, no. I made the mistake of buying a 1/2 oz bottle from a local retailer for the same price as these two bottles!!! I got 16 times the amount for IIRC now, for less!!!

Excellent scent's I, used it in my diffuser and even to add drops around the kitchen counter it does work against pests

Very good scent but a bit pricey
