Got this fountain pen because they said I could custom engrave something onto the pen. Amazing! But it’s false advertising. It’s not engraving; it’s embossing. You can easily scratch off the embossing with your nail. How else could they produce and deliver something in 3 days? The pen body is not stainless steel but rather plastic. Something chipped off when I was unscrewing the cap. It’s definitely not gold metal - it’s gold plastic! I just received this pen and look how the “gold” band is chipped already. This would not be possible if it was real gold metal. False advertising all around regarding materials. As for the writing quality, the ink is water-based and it essentially writes with the same line thickness as a uniball vision fine pen. However, the provided ink cartridge is less than that in the uniball. The ink in this pen flows well but it’s not consistent in ink distribution. This is a real rip off a pen and I would not recommend buying.

I assumed the pen came with an ink cartridge. Apparently not. Luckily, i paid for an extra cartridge with it. But we are having difficulty installing the “replacement”” cartridge. I grew up with fountain pens, but don’t see well. My child is trying to figure it out. Still no success. If the pen wasn’t so attractive, i’d give it no stars at all. Surprised they sell the pen itself with no ink! They say watch the video. No video.

It writes well, just spread the ink a little.

My daughter loves it and I love the way it looks on paper

Very well made pen and the engraving is as expected. The only issue I had was that the accompanying cartridge wouldn't go in, so I used the provided piston refilling. Other than that, it came in a nice box and writes medium fine.
