Cottonique Allergy-Free Organic Cotton Sleep Eye Mask for Allergic Contact Dermatitis (Deep Melange Blue, Free Size)

This eye mask is a great find. I live in an apartment building in a semi-urban area and even with blinds down, the street lights, car lights and security lights are too strong to block out. I was using a head band over my eyes which fit well but it is a synthetic material and I end up taking it off because it is too hot. So this cotton mask is perfect (I purchased the melange) - have used it only a couple of nights so far, but it definitely is helping me get a better night's sleep. Very comfortable. Now I just have to work out a satisfactory way to block out the traffic and street noise! Update 10/19/2016: My review still stands with one caveat. The cotton band in the back stretches out after prolonged use and there is not enough Velcro on the attaching strip to keep it tight at this point. I have bought some Velcro to see if I can fix the problem, but my recommendation is that both Velcro strips should be equal in size.

Has special, small, top and bottom flaps that completely block ALL light. Soft, washable jersey material is non-abraisive. Does not prevent air circulation. Band does not entangle my hair...no hair getting yanked out each time I remove mask. Does not shift whether side or back sleep position. I honestly NEED this mask. I am gonna order several more, because I can’t sleep without it! Perrrfect! Thank you, Cottonique Mask! Thank you!

I have both the white and the gray. The gray one blocks out more light than the white. At night that is not an issue but if I am napping the white one does not do the job. I bought 2 because I wanted a back up for when I am washing the other. I love these and cannot live without them! I just purchased a second gray one so that I can stop using the white one since it only works at night and not work my naps as well. I find them very comfortable. They occasionally fall off my face but I find that is a very rare occurrence. I recommend the gray mask! I would buy again. I have had my oldest mask for 9 months.

This mask is great if you are sensitive to synthetic fabrics, or if you just hate them and find them uncomfortable like I do. The drawback of this mask is that there's no real structure to it, not enough padding on the inside to keep the mask fabric off your eyes. So, it sort of feels like the fabric is pressing down on your eyes. That can keep me from falling asleep unless I'm too tired to care. OTOH a nice thing about the mask is that the fabric "breathes" and feels soft and cool. For me it's great for using on a plane, less so for sleeping at night.

What I love: *That this is organic cotton and I wash it once or twice before using to get the "manufacturing" smell off and it's ready to use. *I have only bought the grey and it blocks light really well. *The material is very soft. *I have two that I wash regularly until the velcro wears out and it starts to get holes. My last two were replaced at 10 months which is good considering I wear every night and wash both once a week. *They can be washed! I hate silk masks because they stink after a few wears and the smell gets worse with washing. These get clean with washing and smell fine. I could only wear silk masks for a week or two before I couldn't stand the smell, so these just make sense for me. What I'd love to see change: *The loop on the left side that holds the head strap is a bit large and sometimes it's uncomfortable when sleeping on my side. I'm a side sleeper so it can be an issue at times. *The head strap overall is big so if you end up on our back that too can be uncomfortable Overall- the pros far outweigh the cons for me so I can live with the things I'd like to see improved. It's a great buy if any of the things I love are important to you.

I use this mask every night. I love not having to worry about chemicals, because it is organic cotton. It is very soft, but it is also sturdy and high quality. I bought two, so I wouldn’t have to worry if I lost one.

First, I really love that it's a non toxic product! It's also well made, seems very durable yet soft. However, I got the gray one because the reviews for the white one said it didn't block out light. I sleep with sound, but have to have a blacked out room to sleep. Even though there is an extra bit of fabric cushioning that sits on the bridge of your nose, (therefore it should block out all light)...it still let's in enough light to bother me and the gray one isn't dark (or maybe thick?) enough to block all light either. I'd guess it only blocks about 80% of light. Also, even though it fits me perfectly, it still feels like it's squeezing my eyes. I even tried wearing it loose, just tight enough to stay on. But when I wake up my eyes are very dry because the cotton was pressed firmly against them all night. I wanted this to work for me so much because there's a surprisingly short list of organic sleep wear out there for a decent price, but sadly I'll be sending this back. It could be better if it came in black (with organic dyes) and if the nose bridge cushioning was thick enough to block all light and get the mask off of the eyes enough so they can breathe.

This mask is super comfortable and I wake up with a much less stuffed nose in the morning when I use this mask compared to others I have tried. Also the nose flap does an awesome job of blocking out light that alot of other masks just can't quite block.

Great item, it's bright outside and my wife (who works shifts) us happily sleeping by my side.

I work nights so a sleep mask is essential for a good days sleep. The problem I have is finding one that doesn't leave black dye all over my pillowcases. This mask is perfect as it's made from natural cotton. It's comfortable to wear and I can pop it in the washer once a week, and as it's so well made it doesn't fall to pieces. The only downside is it doesn't completely block out all the light, but it's still good enough to ensure a good sleep.

THE MOST comfortable sleep mask EVER! I could never manage to sleep properly with a mask before. This is so comfortable it is like it is not even there. Excellent quality, super soft organic cotton, latex free, and appears very durable. Cottonique makes exceptional products. I am so happy I purchased this.

Only used this sleep mask for about six months before it broke and now the returns window closed already. Was good while it lasted though. Liked the material. Shame it broke.

This is a good eye mask. First of all it's cotton made and it doesn't make you sweat or fell hot on your face. It doesn't have any elastic band so that you can change the fit with the strap.
