It's a gorgeous pocket pen. It's actually gray, not black. The gray color actually makes it look even nicer than the black one in the advertised image. Nothing to complain about the pen. The tip is a fine point, and the twisting mechanism is smooth. Note, don't be surprised if people mistaken it for a vape pen or a cigarette holder.

Well, it writes like any other pen I've got. Even if it doesn't, it's the gel ink that does the job, nothing to do with the pen design whatsoever. The retraction mechanism is somewhat smooth but I wouldn't call it silky smooth. It feels plasticy despite some parts are made of real metal. The only advantage I see in the Timeline is the two stage retraction mechanism which makes the pen shorter than normal and easier on any shirt pocket but extends to full pen length when in use.

The writing instrument or actually be useless.(so with the twist retraction device.) this writing instrument is in a category up at home.#3.โ Deep carry pocket clipโ allows for this in pen to be supportive on suit jackets or dress shirts or casual shirts; with the clip coming all the way to THE-TOP of the ink pen.(very Discreet, Diplomatic, Professional, non-convoluted.) #4. not so good refills are very difficult to find an office supply store.

Nice pen, but it came with a 0.5 Extra Fine Point BLGS-5 Roller Ball Pen GEL REFILL, which is scratchy when writing on paper. I purchased a Pilot 0.7 Fine BLGS-7-B 0.7 GEL REFILL and it writes perfectly. It also works well with Ball Point refills: BRFN-10F-B 0.7 Fine Point Black BRFN-30F-B 0.7 Delux Fine Point Black BRFN-30F-B 1.0 Delux Medium Point Black
