6 and I actually thought I was getting 24. Yes very confusing...could have gotten them cheaper at store. I was very disappointed.

You can use it as a gravy; however, I favor the "Beefy Mushroom" for that. It's great for mashed potatoes; albeit a little saltier than I prefer,
