There's nothing of this quality, utility, and low price in the retail market. While a bit complicated to set up, especially the blade guides, and the instructions are imperfect (e.g., "Slide the fence onto the left hand side of the table (to the right of the blade)...)", it is very solidly built. I use it to cut sharp curves in Decko tile, which consists of wood composite+plastic support, and it works great. At some >40 lbs it's hard to carry around, but that's a side effect of being "solidly built". Definitely well worth the money.

I bought this mainly for personal use but also chose to implement it into my work tools since it seems like it can sufficiently handle the load of detailed trim carpentry. The assembly was easy and I was able to start working immediately. I used this on a table top work bench and it is off sufficient weight that I don't have to anchor it down to use it. The blade it came with is sharp and the projects I have done so far have all had accurate cuts. This is the perfect size for my needs.

Where do I start? First, the company had the saw shipped and at my door SIX days before the expected delivery date. That was a nice surprise. I happened to look at the listing the day it arrived and noticed it was on sale for $70 cheaper than I paid. I contacted the seller and asked for a refund of the difference. They replied within hours and the refund was deposited less than 12 hours after my initial email. Amazing customer service, just phenomenal. As far as the saw itself, it’s solidly made and was a breeze to set up. The directions were mostly very clear and the only time it was confusing, a diagram was provided which made perfect sense. I love the simplicity of the blade guide adjustments and the tension release knob. No hex keys needed. It’s also much quieter than the old 9” I was using. Blade tracking is super easy with the little windows too. The only issue I have, probably because I haven’t had time to look up how to tweak it is the rip fence. The unanchored end moves closer to the right when the clamp is used. I’ve only used it for a few minutes last night, but it’s light years better than what I’m used to. Great machine, great price, fantastic customer service.

I was down sizing my wood shop and wanted to replace my Delta floor model Band Saw with something smaller. I initially ordered another small band saw through Home Depot, the gray one. It arrived with a concaved table made of pressed steel. It was more expensive than this model. I contacted their customer support to get a replacement table and after 2 calls to them they informed me this is how it was designed. WTF. I packed it up and returned it to HD. Then I found this saw on Amazon. After looking at it numerous times and doing some research I discovered this is the same saw as the Rikon 9”. They are made in the same factory and just labeled differently. They even look alike. This sold me on the saw. Once I got the saw I started assembly. This was very straight forward and completed in 30 minutes. Then for the first cut. It was horrible. The blade vibrated greatly. The saw needed some alignments. The upper and lower blade guides were out of adjustment. Adjustments took about 30 minutes and the guides were very accessible. Blade tensioning and tracking was also done. Once these adjustments were completed, the saw behaved much better. It is quiet and the dust collection port works adequately. The cast aluminum table is FLAT. I am pleased with it and I would recommend it to any small shop woodworker.

2nd Update: Week 4 now. I bumped the rating to 4 star. I was able to get the 1/4" (Timberwolf) blade to track and function well for my project. The blade wobbles a bit and I've already stripped the thumbscrew on one of the guides. The only other issue is the table top seems to be forming a touch of rust. I'm not sure why. I keep it dry and in a workshop (insulated, concrete floor), AND I coated it with a dry spray lubricant when first took it out of the package. So, I lightly sanded it with #220 and coated it again today. I'll have to keep an eye on that. Otherwise, I found working with the saw pretty easy after you get through the setup and align the wheels using a tool to get them coplaner. The saw has its nuances, but I'm happy with how it cuts. A final note is that the company offered me a full rebate after my first review. Kudos to QD-KYOHO. Odd as I might be these days, I'm not into using a product a bit, and then returning it. So, now, we'll see how long it lasts (i.e., parts reliability). I never wanted a top end bandsaw, just one that functionally does what it says it does. 1st Update: 2 weeks after my original review, I finally realized why I could not keep a 1/8" or 3/16" blade on the saw after 6 hours of effort. Good reason is, the product is spec'd for 1/4" to 1/2" blades. So, in a clear way, my mistake. The spec page in the manual brought it to my attention. My frustration still exists (although reduced), because I would expect such a limitation to be clear in the Amazon Product Description area for the unit. I would have purchased a different saw. So, I'm not changing my rating until I use the saw with a 1/4" blade. Which I now have on order. If it cuts nicely, I'll calm down a bit and bump up my rating. Original review: Sorry, but I'm the first reviewer to give the unit less than 4 stars. Biggest frustrations have been blade installation and tracking. I spent four hours trying to mount and keep a 1/8" blade on the wheels. I finally gave up and settled with wider blades, which limits my work capability. The tires are narrow, not uniform in shape and are very difficult to stabilize the smaller blades for consistency and accuracy. Maybe there is a trick or two I need to learn. If I find one. I'll change my review, but for now I dont think it should be that hard to do. Pros: - decent price - boxed well - solid constriction for the most part - motor seems strong - table top and fence are stable and accurate Cons: - wheel alignment - blade tracking is very finicky and imprecise - guide adjustments are cheap and lack full range across viable blade locations - keeping a 1/8" blade on the wheels is close to impossible

I am a novice woodworker. I was afraid of getting this, but wanted one that wasn't too expensive to learn on. I am very impressed with this thing. It was a bit tedious to setup, but it is because it is a bandsaw. I got it dialed in pretty quickly as I found the instructions quite well done. And if you want to see how to videos, just search for Rikon 10" ... pretty sure it is the exact same model. It was so fun making my first cuts on this thing and while I know nothing of how to judge a blade, especially a stock blade, this thing cuts like butter and is very steady. Would highly recommend! On a side note, not a big fan of their fence set up, but I wasn't planning on using it as I like to use mag switches and steel plates for alignment when needed. The thing I am most looking forward to is creating templates for the router when creating furniture parts .

You can't get a better saw for the money. It's a weird name in tools, never heard of this brand, but it does the job nicely. Stay with the slower speed otherwise the motor belt can fall off on the high speed due to the offset pulleys. The pulleys are inline at the slower speed. Cuts great, little timely to adjust but that's the way bandsaws are. Once adjusted, no drift. Stay with a 3/8" wide blade. Revised 11-11-2025: It worked great until this week and I don't use it that much. The lower pulley's shaft keeps moving, causing the blade to come off the lower wheel. This has happened everyday this week. It's fine for a couple of cuts, then it happens again. I've tightened down the shaft adjustment bolts, but the problem never seems to go away! Misalignment issues have always been a problem with this saw, poorly made! I should have spent a few more dollars and got a better built saw.

Ordered a SKIL and had to send it back, nuts were falling off inside, shoddy and cheap consturction mostly plastic. Got this KYOHO instead and it was like rnight and day. Steel construction and machined aluminum parts. BUY THIS ! Even if you dont need a bandsaw, it is that good.

Looks like it will be very good for what i need haven’t had a chance to use it much yet but so far it is very good
