Love it!
I was not in the market for a massage chair, they seemed like a silly novelty to me. A month ago i was in a local store that had a display with several massage chairs from another company. Really, just to kill a bit of time while my wife was looking at some theater chairs I decided to have a sit. Within 10 minutes I decided that i had to have one. I am 58 years old and have had some lower and upper back issues along with a terrible case of plantar fasciitis that was especially bothersome in my arches. The back rollers along with the airbags and heat felt really good. After the rollers in the feet were activated I knew that a massage chair was a must for me. I decided to do some homework because I thought that the info the salespeople had was lacking and I didn't see a real connection between he manufacturer and the store. I investigated for two weeks literally looking at every chair out there through the internet the best I could. It isn't easy because there aren't many within a 50 mile radius that you can actually sit in. So i reviewed chairs on the web through a couple of dealers and online stores. I was willing to go as high as $3500 if I felt that I was somehow able to determine the best chair for my needs. Foot rollers, anti gravity, L Tracking, were some of the attributes that I was looking for. When I came upon the Relaxon chairs on Amazon I felt that I had found more bang for the buck. I actually didn't see this model and decided on the Relaxon MK II Plus. I decided to sleep on it and the next day just did some final investigating and came upon the Relaxon Classic. It seemed to be a new model with only one review thus far. After looking at the features, I decided on the newer model for the extra $300. It's basically a crap shoot since I couldn't actually sit in any of them so i decided to purchase through Amazon figuring that if I struck out at least I would have some recourse that i trusted. The chair was delivered. All I had to do was strip away the box and packaging and plug it in. The fact that there was nothing to put together was a huge plus. I sat in the chair and started to play. I immediately felt relieved that I had made a good decision. I did have a couple of questions about some of the controls, you have to kind of try things because the manual is a bit light in details. I actually called customer support with a couple of questions. I spoke to Steven at Relaxon and he was very helpful, easy to talk, to and my faith in the company went up a couple of notches. I trust this company from our conversations and I believe Steven to be a stand up guy. The chair is a winner! The rollers do their thing (actually several things) from my neck all the way down to my thighs. The modes are all quite nice from the Stretch and the Yoga, which massages and stretches your back and legs by basically pinning you down with the airbags and adjusting your positions while the rollers do their thing. to the Relief, Sleep and Full Body modes. The PSI for the airbags has 3 pressure adjustments as do the speed of the rollers. The leg and feet massages are a game changer. Tough to even describe until you actually take a spin. I'm 5 ft 9 and 180, my wife is 5 ft 2, and 125, everything seems to adjust well. I have had friends stop in that are let's just say, larger, well over 6 ft 2 and hefty, literally no issues. Bottom line, I feel like I made the right decision. We use the chair every day, i especially enjoy it after a round of golf. It feels great and has eliminated discomfort in my back and worked absolute wonders on my feet. I can't be certain what one may find in higher priced chairs like the ones Costco had on display that were $6000, I can say that for almost half of what I was willing to spend this chair had everything the $3000-$3500 chairs that I sat in locally had. If you are considering a massage chair, my suggestion would be to try to find one locally to sit in that has similar bells and whistles, and then take a really hard look at the Relaxon chair. Some friends chuckled at the thought of me buying one of these, then after they sit in it for 10 minutes they tell me "worth every cent!". I purchase often from Amazon, I rarely take the time to review products. I thought I may be able to help others that are interested in a massage chair so for what it is worth I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Excellent chair and value but...
This was a Christmas present for my wife so we've had it for about a month, she loves it but there is a little room for improvement. First, it's great that it comes completely assembled, just unbox and plug it in. There are plenty of different programs to chose from to suit your needs. We found the massage to be right on target. It goes from your neck all the way to the back of your upper thighs. The action varies with the program you chose, kneading, rolling, vibration, and heat in certain areas. Now, the things that could be improved. The foot/lower leg area is extendable and it's on a spring, so you just push down to a comfortable length. However, there is nothing to hold it there and the spring is pretty strong so it tends to come back up during the massage cycle. It would be great if it was motorized or worked on air pressure so you could set it where you want it and it stayed there until the end of the massage. The other thing that could be improved is the actual foot massage on the bottom of your feet. We found the rollers to be very narrow so they seem to poke into the bottom of your feet a little too much. If they were wider they would be much more comfortable. We took a small piece of thin carpet and put it in the bottom of the foot area on top of the rollers, that seems to take away the sharp feeling. The rollers are positioned in the arch area of your feet, it would be great if they covered the front/ball of your feet as well. Again we love the chair with the few improvements it would be near perfect!

Great massage chair with a few things that could be changed.
We've had our chair for over a month and I am now able to write a more informed review. First, delivery was fast! They called to schedule a delivery day and time within the next day or two. The driver also called when he was on his way! Great service when it comes to delivery! The chair is big and bulky, as you would expect. It was difficult getting it up our 12 or so steps in the house. In fact, it was difficult to get it up the two steps to our front door! We managed but it required lots of effort. Beautiful construction and quality! We ordered the gray chair but now I wish I ordered the darker one. I just picture that the light gray material will get noticeably dirty. Love the massage!! The foot massage is serious too! There are several pre-set programs and you also have the ability to increase or decrease the intensity and bring closer or spread farther the massage balls that go up and down your spine. You can also increase your time from the standard 15-minute programs up to 30-minutes. However, 30 minutes is the max, as far as we can tell up to this point. We still have lots to learn about the chair. At the end of each program the chair stays back so if you happen to fall asleep you won't be disturbed by the chair moving to the upright position. Falling asleep in the chair is easy to do and has happened a lot already! However, there are two things that I find a bit annoying - 1) At the end of each session you have to actually restart from the sitting up position. We have not found a way to continue the programs while still is the relaxed and reclined position.; and 2) this is one of the chairs that allowed for tall people, up to 6'4". I actually bought this chair for that specific reason as I have tall people in my family. However, we've learned that the foot section does not lock into place. They have to continuously put pressure and push their feet down which defeats the relaxation of a massage. I'm hoping someone who knows this chair better than we do will let me know that we're doing something wrong and that there are ways around this. Finally, there is a manual that comes with it but it is not very helpful in learning how to use the functions on the control. Maybe it's just us?! Anyway, overall we're happy with our chair!! Still lots to learn in order to get the most out of it. If you are looking for a chair in the $2,000 price range, this is a good one!

It is worth every single penny!
The chair came in a very large box which instantly became my grandson's Playhouse. Yes, the playhouse is great but the chair is magnificent! It arrived in one piece, we simply opened the box and plugged it in. My favorite massage setting is full body. It uses a double tap on my back which makes me make funny noises. 😘 I can adjust the speed of the massage as well as the pressure. Does an excellent job of massaging my shoulders back haves and feet and it was much lower and the price of the chair that I saw at the mall that got me started by massage chairs. This chair is a gem, perfectly relaxing and easily used. It has a true zero gravity setting and I can decide how far back I want the chair to go. It is a truly pleasing high end massage chair and worth every single penny spent. That said, the best part is that the customer service is out of this world. We had a question about one of the wires on the chair and called the company. Remember, this is during the time of covid-19 and customer service is hard to come by. The call was answered by Steven, who said that he didn't have time to talk because he had a meeting but he would call back in an hour. Our hopes were not especially High. 20 minutes later Steven called back an answer to every single question....correctly! Do not hesitate to buy this chair. It is an excellent high end massage chair and when you buy it you are also buying Top Notch customer service.

Love, love, love this chair.
Both my husband and I LOVE this chair. 67 and 64 years young. Very easy - once you realize it has back wheels - to get into house. No white glove treatment for us. We had to remove one arm rest because the door wasn’t big enough. Customer service very good in that department. They emailed us clear and concise instructions on what to do. I’m 5’1; husband 5’10”. The chair accommodates both very comfortably and does the job. It has different settings, and I have yet to pick a favorite. I use a different setting every night. My sister-in-law bought a massage chair for more than twice what this chair was, and it doesn’t offer all this chair does. We plan on buying this chair (we bought the gray chair) for our son and daughter-in-law as a housewarming gift in the near future. Now, here’s what you need to know: the chair doesn’t go back to original setting when done. This means if you drop the remote (which I did), you’re left in an awkward reclining position and need to maneuver yourself up and out of the chair, get the remote and then hit the button to return the chair to original position.

The chair does not massage the back of the calves or the hamstrings at all
The back massagers are fine but you will only get some useless air pressure agains your sholders and calves, I was shocked when the company's rep contacted me and confirmed that the chair does not massage the back of the calves or the hamstrings while it's advertised as a full body massage chair. That's ridiculous and I will start a return with amazon

Large chair that needs room to extend back.
We bought this chair for our anniversary and are pleased with it. I will update the rating depending on how well it lasts. The comfort of the chair for my husband is very good. For me, it’s a little uncomfortable. I have fibromyalgia and I am quite touchy. My massage therapist has learned how hard she can massage me. Unfortunately, I haven’t learned how to do a less deep massage with this chair. I am a little claustrophobic and have been afraid to put my arms in the armrests because they are squeezed so tightly. The legs squeeze very tight also. My husband dropped the controller when he was in zero gravity position and he could not reach it on the floor. He was screaming for me to come help him as he could not get out of the chair in that position. After I freed him, I put the chair back in that position with me. I think I could’ve managed to get out if I were alone and that happened, but I also think I would’ve hurt myself. So beware of this happening to you. We have threaded the controller through the chair so it cannot fall now onto the floor. I wish the rollers were a little wider so they would not hurt me as much. Again, I probably don’t know how to adjust the depth of the massage. my husband uses the heat, but I do not. I have a tendency to get overheated anyway and I am fearful that I would get hot when I couldn’t get my hands free to adjust the heat. I will give an update if I see any problems with the chair. We have had the chair at this point about five weeks.

Intense from top of scapula to lower back and extra intense on feet.
Get it. It rocks. I looked extensively at reviews and writeups and have minor experience with multiple massage chairs from various places but have never owned one. My ONE purpose is have moderate damage to sacroiliac arthritis/joint damage with connective tissue damage that's not really surgical repairable. Listen when reviews say it's intense. I'm a big guy 5'10 250lbs. For me with it's perfect on subscapular areas where most people have some rotator cuff type issues and digs deep. Equivalent of massage therapist using elbow. This continues all the way down past lumbar to sacroiliac. For me this makes the $2k + purchase worth it. Going from having to have a massage every single week in order to be able to throw the ball to my kids or walk more than mile and not have extreme pain is priceless. I've never set in a massage chair with this intensity. Very pleased for my situation. Now what I don't really like but I don't care b/c of the above? Feet: I don't mind it but I do grit my teeth a little with the intensity of the rollers on bottom of feet while barefoot. Most people will need to wear thick socks. It really reaches in pummels the underside of your arches but socks solve the problem or simply resting you're feel slight forward solve it. It also grabs backside of your heel VERY firmly but not painful. This is also while fully reclined it's most intense. Sitting up I don't even register it as a problem. Air bags: I have 'rugby' (large) legs. It's the same as bottom of feet. I can stand it but man it's intense. I tend to have some minor edema in lower calves. Using this thing twice a day for a couple of weeks now there is noticeably less edema around my shins and lower calves. It's not quite as intense around forearms for compression but I have normal sized forearms. Shoulder air bags don't really register with me as good or bad as I don't really notice them. Controller: This is problably my only true complaint. They made the cord just long enough and with no place to put it that it likes to slide off your lap onto the floor. Ever seen a fat guy try to get out of a fully reclined massage chair? It's as funny as you think unless you're that guy. Either suck it up and consider a remote for about $130 or get a little inventive with industrial glue, velcro, and a soft holder (with glued other part of velcro) for the wired controller. You'll thank me when you don't have spelunk out of this thing. Overall I think it is flat out worth the money. If something happens to it (ie my kids think it's the best toy ever :( I will immediately purchase another. Cheers
