Bought this for the 3 feral cats at the house and sure glad I did. Pretty bad winter with weeks of below freezing temps and this bowl performed perfectly. No ice at all even though I left it out in the open. Really robust and easy to clean. Will definitely buy another in the event this one fails. Pretty impressed!

This heated water bowl is AMAZING. The size is perfect and truly ideal for dogs of all sizes. We have a Labrador, and I only need to refill it about every other day, which is super convenient. We recently had a snowstorm with about 6 inches of snow, and this morning the temperature dropped to -12°F. Even in those conditions, the water stayed completely thawed. The only ice was a little around the rim where water had splashed when our dog drank. Our dog was inside during the storm and had access to water indoors, but when she went outside to use the restroom, she also had fresh, unfrozen water available—which gave me huge peace of mind. I even noticed birds stopping by to drink from it during the storm since it was the only thawed water around for miles. It does exactly what it promises and works flawlessly in extreme cold. 5 stars, 10/10, highly recommend! 🐾❄️

I bought two, one for front and one for back porch; they work well and don't overheat the water. The only issue is on warm days, the algae starts to build up. You have to clean often.

We bought this to replace the heated water container we got from TSC because that one uses 100w of electricity. This bowl has been working flawless since we got it. It went down to -7 last night and there was a little ice build up on the surface of the water touching the edge of the bowl but water was still fluid. I believe that was pushing it's warming capabilities to it's max but it did keep the water from freezing. Great product to keep your animals hydrated but if you experience deep cold in the negative double digits when I would look into something with more wattage to swap out during those cold nights, otherwise this bowl will do just fine.

I have put two dishes out every winter. They are great and never freeze over. Birds, squirrels and deer all use them. They last for years.

It helped so much with my feral cats this. It had gotten pulled from the outlet and I had thought it had stopped working. It hasn't. No more trying to get frozen water out of the bowl every morning! Worth every penny! Self enclosed on the bottom so no worries about the electric getting wet. Looks as good after a hard winter as it did new.

-20C right next to the house the edges froze up but the dog could still get water. Unfortunately -40C was too cold out.

This is a well made product. After two months outside in an Alberta winter, it still looks new. It recently survived an extended period of snowy weather with temperatures reaching minus 32C and wind chills reaching minus 49C. It was sitting outside on our raised deck beside the house so it was partially sheltered from the wind. It never froze during that time. The thermostat works well and the water never heats to more than a few degrees above freezing in the warmer weather.

Probably quite good if you live in America

We have been using this item for 2 winters now. My cats and neighbouring cats, squirrels and birds all agree it works great. Ice starts to form at around -15°C, mostly icy under -20°C. When the temperature is very low, we replace the ice with fresh water and it takes around 6 hours for ice to form again. So, yeah, it does the trick. The only thing we worry a bit is that the srping protecting the electric wire is starting to rust. Overall, a great value for the price.
