Sustained transfer rate plummets after 30+Gb
My review is solely within the context of file management and transfer, in particular large multi-Gb files. Do not purchase this if you perform sustained or large file transfers that cause heat build-up. When the drive hits a heat threshold, which does not seem high, the transfer speed plummets to <50MBps. Cooling down to below the throttling threshold can take 1+hours.

Solid drive from a reliable brand
I ended up returning this drive, not because anything was wrong with it but because I decided I needed more storage and went for a 2TB version and a slightly different model instead. The 1TB unit arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I already use Silicon Power RAM and another of their SSDs, and they have all been reliable and well priced. Based on my experience with the brand, I have no hesitation recommending this drive.

Great Product, NO THERMAL SENSOR
Great SSD, super fast, boot times are brilliant and in the 2+ months I've had it not one issue so far. Comes in variable sizes, I have the 1TB version though, and while I regret not getting the 2TB for extra capacity and storage, it does the job well and was an excellent price. Didn't come across any issues with installation, initial boot or sustained use, really impressed. One important thing to note is that there is no thermal sensor. It wasn't mentioned and I didn't expect one, but it does help, especially when deciding whether to get a heatsink for it, but for general use or even gaming, it should suffice without one.
