MAJOR WIN! Tested on MacBook and windows 11 pc and it's top shelf !
Took a chance ans it paid off !!! 1. The gen 2 dark metalic 2k matches my space black 16" macbook pro m3 max perfectly. 2. The screen defaulted to a lower resolution and 60 htz on first plug in. I changed to 120htz and left the lower res as it was super crisp. I use the "better display" app, but I did not have to change any settings. Colors are dam good, just like my macbook without any fiddling! Brightness is good and I noticed no change when plugging in a power cable. Although my mac powers it fine with 1 cable, I tested this as some portable monitors will brighten up with more juice. This one stayed consistant. 3. Auto rotation does not work for me on Mac or PC. I turned it on in the display menue, but no luck. Its fine when you change the rotation in your settings though. 4. The included wetsuit case is an accident waiting to happen..throw it out and buy a 16" laptop sleeve. Recommend using one that zipper across long ways vs across the top as its easiest to get in and out (i tested on 3 different sleaves I own). 5. The stand is very good! It's stable when the base is facing foward. When you flip the stand so its facing backwards and pivot the monitor to its highest position, its still stable unless you tilt the screen back a bit and then its subject to desk bump or heavy typing wobble. Overall, quality! 6. The controll wheel is meh...its firm and when you arentrying ro manipulate it from the front, you will hunt and poke a lot!. The On Screen Menu is OK. The 1 ding is when trying to turn auto rotation on, I can't tell when I have selected on or off. Menu settings that appear to be on, are grey, selecting turns them blue which seems right until you recheck a setting and it's grey again. Fortunately, you will probably set it once and be done. 7. Its definitely super slim and lightweight, but zero cheap feel. You will def have drop anxiety when handling it the first time. 8. The pivot mechanism is great. Snappy, smooth and one of a kind. 9. No cables poking out the side is a god send ! Super happy with this one (I own 3 other 2k glossy qled monitors and this is brighter consistent. Only complaint is the dang price. This would be just right at $450. $599 made me scratch my head for a week before I pulled the trigger. Overall, its a peice if tech that will turn heads and make you feel good about the extra coin you dropped.

Phenomenal quality and well thought out monitor for business travelers.
I’ll admit, I’ve only had this thing for an hour, but man is it game changing. Yeah, it’s $600. If you don’t like the price, buy one in your budget. Now, if you like high quality products and understand you’re getting that with the price, buy it. This thing is sooo compact. Being able to set this up a multitude of ways is awesome for us that travel for work. Literally plug in one cord, and you’re done. I was up and running in a minute after pulling it out of the box. Hoping to try some gaming soon on it. I really bought this to use for both work and play while traveling. The screen looks amazing and with 120hz it should be phenomenal. Great job guys. Would be great if the price point could be driven down a bit. I really think you’d be able to broaden this out to many more individuals. Oh, the sleeve sucks. Buy a 16” laptop sleeve. I totally almost dropped this thing on my kitchen floor pulling it out.

Pricey, but solid - best in class stand
Overall, this is one of the nicest quality monitors you can buy, it is sleek, great attachments and looks pretty great with a glossy screen. That being said you are paying quite the premium for that. If you are constantly on the move working from hotels/etc, I could see it being worth the sticker price. If you aren't, I think a regular OLED monitor is a much better use of your money. I'm currently using it on a VESA mount, and it fits perfect above my laptop. The main reason I purchased it was for the stand system that it comes with - and I will say, compared to other portable monitor stand systems it is best in class, really solid engineering, intuitive to use and it packs up incredibly well. I've used it with Mac and windows, and it's worked well on both. NOTE: It does have one really annoying quirk, when the monitor isn't being used and it is plugged in (screen off), it occasionally outputs a very high pitch buzz that is incredible annoying. If you are using it primarily as a portable monitor I doubt you'll run into this issue, but if you have it on a desktop workstation, you may have to unplug it when it isn't being used. unplugging it and plugging it back in seems to kill the high pitch sound for a bit.

Good high quality product
Bought it for $600, one of the most expensive portable monitors. In terms of quality-price ratio it's not great, I think $450-500 would make more sense. Pros: - 120hz, 2560x1600. 4K would be an overkill for 16" for me - Metal feels great and sturdy - Magnets are strong and reliable - High adjustability for height and tilt angle thanks to the stand and 180° rotation - The ports are located in the stand, really nice that this way no cables are sticking out from the side - Fits in my backpack with the MBP 14" - Can detouch it from the stand in a second and use it on a bed - The monitor weights 930g/2.05lbs + stand 435g/0,96lbs Cons: - Poor black colors because of IPS, that's the main issue I have. I would have paid $200 more if there was an OLED option. Btw there is no information in the specs that it's IPS. - Anti-reflective coating is a bit better on the MPB than on this monitor. - The stand is not THAT stable, it would still wobble for a few sec after touching it or if your table is not sturdy enough. I think a tripod stand would be better in such cases. - No speakers. It's not a problem for me since I use it with a laptop only, but can be an issue for those who buy it for pc/console. - The protective case is not high quality, I would expect better, but good enough to use as a mousepad. Recommendations: - If you use it with mac, you MUST download BetterDisplay app and use the HiDPI feature (available in free version) to fix the resolution issue. Otherwise by default the picture would be too big/small/blurry.

Nice every day companion
This is a great little monitor. I also have a Vision Owl 18” kickstand monitor but this one goes everywhere with me. With the included (albeit minimal) sleeve, it fits perfectly in my ‘smallish’ Aer City Pack 14l backpack laptop sleeve. Despite being bigger then my 12.9” iPad, it is less noticeable due to its light weight. As a result I can take it everywhere along with a mouse and have a quasi productive desktop setup everywhere I go. You know what they say, the best external monitor is the one you have with you and because of that this gets the grade over the 18” minute I have which is strictly a carry on bag monitor at this point. Now is it worth the premium over similar size monitors 1/3 to 1/5 the expense? That’s a tough call. For business productivity, I’d say a resounding yes. I just can’t work effectively on my 14” laptop when traveling beyond email and PowerPoint. For personal use, it’s a $500 luxury that I likely would have passed on had I not been looking for a travel solution. $300 would have been a sweet spot. What I like about this over the cheaper solutions is build quality and thoughtfulness. Its got a sleek simple design that’s clean, includes a low profile magnetic stand that provides the necessary visual height (vs an kickstand), and it’s got pass through USB power which allows gives me flexibility with my limited ports. And oh, btw I use this on a Chromebook. Yup! A Chromebook!!

Fantastic Monitor, but missing some things
For a premium price tag, it almost holds its value. Three things: 1: HDR is garbage. It just barely works, and the colors are not great. 2: for this price point, I’d expect more than 60Hz. Maybe have the mode unlocked when it has the alt power plugged in, so that you aren’t draining your device. 3. How is this not a touch panel at this price? If I’m going to sacrifice refresh rate, I should gain a feature from the panel. Verdict: 4/5 stars, IF you find it on sale. 3/5 at full price.

If Apple had their own portable monitor, this would be it.
Starting with the aesthetics, it looks like a 16:10 iPad Pro. The 4K resolution, especially on a 16" is crispy. Having to only use a single cable for both charging and video is convenient for someone who wants to minimize cables for their on-the-go setup. This setup has a wide range of adjustments especially in height. The monitor can be rotated 180 for additional height. I have a plethora of 3rd party portable monitors and this one is possibly one of the best in my lineup. I like it so much I bought a 2nd one to use with my MacBook Air when I travel to use 2 - though due to the limitations of the MacBook Air's power supply, a separate power supply is needed to run 2 monitors simultaneously (not the fault of the product). The only knock I have would be price but that's to be expected for a 4K monitor of this quality.

***FIX THE CABLE (But great product otherwise)
*** Clarifying this product is good, but the cable sucks The screen and monitor is great. However, the cable is not good. I first bought this a few months ago and it had some lag but nothing major. Then, today, when I plugged my monitor to my mac, anytime i was using my finger on the mousepad, the mouse would start shaking. I thought my mac was having water damage from the summer humidity. I started looking up apple store appointments. I also ordered a bluetooth mouse. Then i noticed when i unplugged the sotsu - my mouse stopped shaking Then, I replaced the SOTSU cable with another cable I bought from Amazon, one that was braided, and the mouse never shook. I always thought this monitor had so much more potential when I first bought it. Please get the cable right. Sotsu - you gave me a panic attack :( Otherwise, great product.

4K 120Hz would be ideal…
Nice build quality. Decent LED panel that is nice and sharp at 4K resolution however, for me personally when using next to the 13” M4 iPad Pro the 60Hz refresh rate is noticeably lacking when scrolling. I’m sure Sotsu will release a 4K 120Hz in the near future. In the meantime, I returned the 4K Elite and purchased the 2.5K Gen 2 Pro instead. That being said, love what Sotsu are doing. Update: Received the 16” Pro Gen 2 and it pairs perfectly with the 13” M4 iPad Pro. 120Hz is the same as the iPad’s refresh rate so scrolling does not strobe. I was able to calibrate the colour to match very closely (see attached picture for settings). 2.5K resolution produces a sharp enough screen. Very happy with the Pro Gen 2.

ell built. Works in the Mac world.
Brilliant display; extremely well made; portable; works with my iPad and M4 Mac mini. Beautiful piece of tech. Goes well and works well with my other Mac products.

Insanely good quality product
Holy ****, this is exactly what I wanted. You need BetterDisplay Pro to configure the colours 'properly ', in my opinion, but otherwise, this is the posh, premium feel I could not find anywhere else. Thank god it's made out of aluminum. So sick and tired of plastic.
