I wish I had taken a picture of the ball or "moon" as it appears to me, before I put the Reed in the oil. It was all white with no color accents at all. After about 20 minutes in the oil, the ball started changing colors. So it has a really cool look to it as well. And if you don't want the writing visible, just spin it around. The scent of this is definitely like a men's cologne, it honestly reminds me of Drakar Noir, which I personally love so it's a great match for me. But the best part is if it accidentally gets knocked over, you won't lose the whole bottle of oil. It just soaks up the reed and diffuses through the ball on top. It would easily fit in a car cup holder as well. There's a little flap you can flip open on the box to smell it first. I've gotten several of air freshener from this brand from different type of diffusers to the gel style air fresheners and every single one has been excellent. Yes the majority of everything is in Chinese but you really don't need instructions. The smell more than makes up for the lack of English writing. It's always strong enough to be noticeable but not overwhelming. And I've tried everything from rose, lavender, citrus, men's cologne, etc. I highly recommend any of their products but this diffuser is definitely my favorite!!!

But if you want a gentle, decorative air freshener for a smaller space, it's a decent option.

Waste of money, didn't work at all.
