Pop pastries
I am in a pop tart phase. Donโt ask me why. But these gluten-free pastry tarts are delicious and take me back to my childhood days. Buying them in bulk saves me a lot of money. Very happy!

Not a bad pop-tart like thing
If you can't have the real thing, but want to remember what it was like to have a pop-tart as you ran out the door, late for school in the morning, these are not a bad substitute. They don't have the robustness of a real pop-tart, and are a bit on the crumbly side, but they taste similar (maybe even better). They definitely got the frosting part right, giving me flashbacks to the sugar rush that addicted my younger self to the OG Strawberry Pop-Tarts. I'm not so sure that is very healthy for the adult me though, so these will be a sometimes treat, and more than likely very sometimes, since I must have lost my sweet tooth somewhere in my early 20's. Katz did a decent job at recreating an old favorite though, and these should be a hit with pre-diabetic folks who are blissfully uncaring of the downside of a sugar rush, or anyone needing that nostalgic reminder of an unbalanced "breakfast" from their youth.

Yummy but could be more consistent
I'm happy to have gluten free toaster pastries and these 2 flavors are yummy! I do wish the quality control was a bit better. One of the foil packages was ripped open and the amount of icing is inconsistent on each one. Some have very little icing and some have a good amount.

Tasted pretty good
This tasted better then I thought they might. I don't have to have gluten-free, but regular Pop-Tarts tend to have milk and or soy. I've been craving Pop-Tarts for at least a year enough that I have considered having the allergic reaction. The strawberry ones have a better flavor than the brown sugar cinnamon ones to me. They are more briwn sugar and less cinamon so overly sweet The strawberry are less sweet than a real Pop-Tart, but taste real and good. Thet are a bit sifter than original Pop-Tarts. Because of other people's comments on them breaking when you pull them out, I did let them cool for a longer amount of time than I normally would and then pull them out, which seems to work. The one time I didn't follow this trick, I made a mess. Word of warning, the brown sugar cinnamon ones can melt apart in the toaster and I'm still not sure I've gotten enough out where I won't need to replace the toaster from it. I would recommend doing these on a very low setting if you want them warmed.

So yummy!
We loved these so much! Be careful with the heat setting on your toaster. Start lower than you think you will need and go up. We were looking to get a new toaster anyway but we had to get one because of what happened when we toasted these. The toaster was set at the normal setting of around just under 2. It melted the icing off so then it started smoking but then the icing was stuck inside the toaster so the next time we used it, same thing happened so we just threw it away and got a new toaster and now we have it down to a science!๐
