Very Responsive to questions about the worms & shipping of the worms was faster than expected. The worms arrived in one box with ventilation holes poked in & labeling to notify the shippers along the way that there were Live Worms inside the box. The worms were nice sized & packed in two bags along with nice bedding so they were cool during their trip - Healthy Pink Color, Strong Active Wigglers & the bag the worms were shipped in is durable & can be reused to hold gardening or fishing supplies. The worms have settled into their new home & I expect they'll be quickly starting their composting work in another few days. Uncle Jim's Worm Farm via Amazon is just as easy as going through their site but here there's the ability to use the additional payment options. I'll be ordering here in the future when I need more worms to expand the garden next year.

this is my second purchase from this seller, bought smaller red worms last fall, 1st order got hit by cold weather and i thought they had not survived, called and a replacement order free of charge was on the way a week later and they are now thriving in my garden tower, so when i needed composting worms for my raised bed i checked their video on utube and decided to buy the european ones because they can withstand colder temperatures. worms arrived very well packed and in great shape and are already out in the garden. i would recommend for a new buyer to check out utube made by jim,s worm farm first to get the right worms for your climate. i live in sw oklahoma and we have some cold days and the red worms would have died the first winter had the been outside - his video explains what composting worms are available and what the differece between is - anyhow i love them - they all my kitchen waste and in return i got excelled compost from them in no time and lots of tomato plants since i had thrown spoiled tomatoes right into my kitchen leftovers, two weeks after i removed the compost from the composting garden tower new tomatoe and some pepper plants sprouted all over my finished compost - it will be interesting to see what type of tomatoe or peppers will show up this summer

The worms arrived in good condition. I didn't find any deceased worms. A some were a bit lethargic after the long trip, but still in good condition. I put a lamp over the worm bins and they all dove for deep cover. Thst told me all I needed to know about their condition.

A couple of months back, I put 2lb of these in my raised bed, (8’ x 4’, 22” high, the bottom half being 50/50 soil/compost and topped up with Mel Bartholomew’s vermiculite/peat/compost SFG mix.) The second night was damp and I was racing around picking up escapees and returning them to my Worm Tower. I feared that I had lost all of them, except maybe a few that had stayed in the tower. Forward to now and I recently planted a number of potted seedlings in their squares. No massive digging, just enough trowel fulls to make room for their roots. Pleased to see worms in just about all the squares, three of them in one square. They weren’t exactly hugely long, maybe averaged about 5 or 6 inches, but nice and fat, wriggling well and a good plump band, the name of which escapes me but I believe it is a key part of breeding activity. I dropped them back in my worm tower where they quickly made it back underground. The consignment arrived quickly and the worms left their bags being a good size, looking active and perfectly fine, no signs of dehydration or other problems. Updated July 1st 2018 Replanted some of my squares where I had had peas. Many, many active worms of all sizes in each trowelfull. The ground was alive with worms getting out of the light. Also turned over the contents of my worm tower and the lower section was also full of active worms of all sizes. I could probably use this bed as a commercial worm farm!
