Does this watch make a noticble "tick" sound?

Very quiet tick. I have to put mine right up by my ear to hear it. (Not like some watches or clocks that you can hear practically across a room.) Keeps time well. Pleased with this watch.

What is the case thickness?

Thickness of the case without the strap is 9-10mm. But the strap is underslung, passing under the base of the case, so strap and strap supports adds another 2mm approximately. My husband wears it when surfing at least twice a week and he finds it very practical and easy to read in the water.
