good quality addition to pantry & emergency supplies. Add cals/protein/nutrition w/ease
Edit to add: it is AWESOME for use in cafe lattes. It froths up really well. Makes a sturdy froth that tops off my espresso gorgeously. I just use a simple milk frother to make super quick easy foam. If you order from the warehouse you have to know that it may have a short shelf life left on it (though should be a ways out if ordering from regular Amazon). Taking a chance on reduced pricing. I think this is a bargain at regular pricing. HUGE container. I normally don't care about the best by date, because it is only referencing the guaranteed quality, not the safety. So mine is 2 months out, and I doubt I will have this used by then. But it will be fine beyond that. I bought this more as a back up in case of scarcity or skyrocketing food prices. I normally just drink non dairy "milk", but will use stuff like this in recipes that call for dairy milk. I also dont mind it as a creamer. One thing that is nice about powdered milk is being able to make it as rich and creamy or as light and bland as you want. Use more or less according to preferred taste. I think this has very good flavor. I have used it directly in coffee with some effort to get lumps out. Best when use a little frother mixer. Nice for adding to smoothies and such if looking to boost protein and other vitamin and minerals. Might be helpful to those that can use the extra calories and nutrition boost without having to consume added volume (thinking ill or elderly). I'd get this again. I have two big containers so it might be awhile. But I may buy extras and give away.

Good tasting powdered milk
Great milk product. I no longer buy milk I make it fresh using this. This taste so much better than other powder milks. Great value for the money, big container.

Mix with COLD water
The instructions clearly say to mix it with water, not hot water. I put the milk powder and cold water from the sink into an empty jug and shake it up and then put it in the fridge overnight. It works great and there are no lumps. It tastes good too and I'm saving money over regular milk. I don't consume a lot of milk and this Swiss Miss milk powder allows me to make milk in small batches so I don't have to worry about the milk expiring before I'm finished with it.

Good quality, good price, but the texture is *VERY* fine, so it's a bit "flyaway" and tends to lump
- I can't say much about the flavor because I use powdered milk in coffee and in certain baking recipes. It seems to taste fine in mixtures like that, but I can't offer any info about how it tastes straight up, since I don't like drinking fat-free milk of any sort. - It looks and smells like good quality powdered milk should, so I'm happy enough with that; it's also certainly comparable in terms of nutritional content. That latter is why I added it to my morning coffee routine - I wanted the extra protein and calcium, plus, it seems to reduce the natural acidity of coffee, which makes it more kind to my stomach. - The most notable thing to me was how very *fine* the texture of this powder is; it can get airborne even with air currents. So scooping/spooning it fairly slowly and carefully can minimize that. - Also, since it is *so* fine, it actually is more difficult to mix thoroughly because the powder grains tend to lump together more readily once the get damp. Using a whisk helps to mix it, but also tends to create a good bit of foam. -

I make my own hot cocoa mix and this non fat dry milk is the BEST! Seriously, when my mix is complete, you can't tell the difference from store bought. Well, maybe this does taste better, richer! And it is something I keep on hand because I make my own cream of chicken soup mix with this milk as well. And, when I run out of regular store bought milk, I whip this up, chill it and its good in my coffees, gravies, any recipe that calls for milk! Or when I am running low on milk, I mix up some combine with my store bought and stretch it out some. It not like the powdered milk I grew up on..."MilkMan"! Either my Mother didn't mix it right, or it was just the era and things were not perfected! This is actually decent stuff!
