KJV Cameo Centenary Edition, Vintage Golden Brown Calfskin Leather, Full Yapp, KJ457:XRLY [unknown author] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. KJV Cameo Centenary Edition, Vintage Golden Brown Calfskin Leather, Full Yapp, KJ457:XRLY Review: My Favorite Bible - I am 80 and I read the Bible a lot. I used to only read the Turquoise KJV edition, but then I discovered the Cameo version is quite readable for me. I use 175 readers, but can read this without glasses but not comfortably. Back at the beginning of 2007 I was having trouble getting immersed into reading the Bible. I was radically saved in 2002 at the age of 57. The Spirit suggested to me to try reading the KJV. I was reading the Bible du jour NIV at the time. From that point on my Bible reading and comprehension took off. When I saw this new Cameo edition I had to have it. The best deal was at desertcart through a seller ShopSpell. So I ordered the Bible but wondered about the 2-3 week delivery window. After I ordered it I began to worry about the seller. Did some searches and got some bad reviews. Contacted ShopSpell and they responded in a couple of hours and settled my concerns. The Bible shipped from NJ via media mail which is slow! But it arrived yesterday in 8 days from the time of my order. So overall I am very satisfied with my purchase from this seller and would highly recommend them! The cover leather is wonderfull. The full yapp is wonderful. The Bible size is perfect! I am very happy with my purchase and reading it this afternoon. I treated the leather with Leather Honey Leather Conditioner Oil. If anything it enhanced the beauty of the cover. Maybe ever so slightly darkening it which was OK with me. Within a minute or less the oil is entirely gone from the surface of the leather. The antiline leather is untreated and I was concerned about it becoming dried out. Also treated it with some Obenhof's Heavy Duty Conditioner as the Leather Honey Oil didn't seem to have much effect. After 12 days and a lot of use I can say this leather is going to show a lot use quickly. Not sure I like that. I also have a couple of navy blue goatskin leather lined Cameos which I reviewed on desertcart also. I am thinking the goatskin wears a lot more to my liking. Also now I have gotten used to the full yapp and I do like it with the soft leather. But I suspect soon the goatskin Cameo will be my go to bible again. Overall I am liking the goatskin leather lined (not all of them are) with 3 ribbons better plus they were quite a bit cheaper. The full yapp I can live without... But I still like the Cameo text best and that is the point of the whole thing isn't it? The Word of God! Rev 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. As I reflect on these changes to my review I suspect this bible is going to continue to be my favorite. There is something about the soft light brown leather cover and the full yapp that really appeals to me! It is the best of two worlds. The cover and the text! Amen! Hallelujah! Thank You Jesus for the Word!!! Review: The Cambridge Cameo Centenary - The Best Personal Sized Bible Ever Made - My package arrived swiftly and perfectly. The case was sealed with manufactures plastic film that was easily removed. Beautiful, elegant, and extremely comfortable in the hands, this Centenary edition of the Cameo is the perfect personal sized bible. The full grain Calfskin leather feels very premiums, and the liner appears to be Calfskin leather as well; unlike even the Cameo in Goatskin which uses a synthetic liner (my one negative for normal Cambridge Cameos that this edition thankfully corrects). The three bookmark ribbons make it very easy to save multiple places and allow for easy going of back forth within this bible between the old and new testaments. They are very long and easy to manipulate, coming in three colors; a darker brown, a lighter brown (that about matches the color of the bible), and a golden-yellow. They feel very nice, almost silky, and can be easily tucked within the pages to avoid damaging them when not in ready use. The binding is very solid and the book lays perfectly flat. It is smyth-sewn and the leather cover is sewn as well. It is edge lined, offering superior binding and longevity to this bible. Because this leather does not have a coating to preserve its color, it will patina over time with natural use and become unique to its owner. I rather like that, as it truly makes this one of a kind for each owner. As always Cambridge craftsmanship is very high quality. The Cameo has always been my favorite for personal-sized bibles, striking the perfect balance between easy readability and portability. This Centenary edition allows the Cameo to finally have a fully premium binding with full yapp. The paper is - as with the other offerings by Cambridge for their fine leather bibles - very soft and silky feeling. Thin but not fragile compared to standard thin paper used in cheap bibles. It’s small enough to be easily carried anywhere. From meeting with brethren to study the word, to carrying it with you when you are out and about. It’s highly portable and legible, even in direct light. If like me you enjoy reading your bible in bed, this is perfect for that. It’s light enough to not strain your hands even with long reading sessions, while still feeling quite substantial. As is expected of the Cambridge Cameos line of bibles, it is a facsimile of the original Cameo printing from 1925, digitally scanned and enhanced to provide an exact replica of what was hot off the presses all of those years ago. It has a two column layout by chapter and verse, with a very well designed center column reference. It is extremely easy to use and read, and allows for many hours of studying scripture the only way we are instructed to do so by God, by referencing scripture with scripture, and NOT the words and false wisdom of man. It uses a Mediaeval Clarendon typeface in 8 point font. Despite it being a smaller font, its deep blacks and reds are bold and clear. This makes it so even I who needs glasses to see, can read it clear and easy with my glasses removed. The paper is an India-style paper from France that is printed by Royal Joungblood in the Netherlands; which has become the standard for fine bible manufacturer’s due to the sheer quality. The printing and deep inking is uniform across the entire bible. The red letter text is very deep and clear. I have not had it long, but it is being used as my new daily driver for my bible readings. This book will outlast me, and I will be able to pass it down to my child(ren). To know that my lineage will be able to handle the same books, reading the same pages, adds a deeper connection for these very finely crafted bibles. Treat them well, pass them on to your kid(s). If treated well, then even your great grandkids should be able to read from these wonderful bibles. For reference I have bibles that range from affordable synthetic low-end cost to very premium Cambridge bibles, and out of all of them the Cambridge Cameo has been my favorite, seconded only by the Cambridge Turquoise in Goatskin with leather lining. This Cameo is heirloom quality.

Blessed are they who walk in His word.
This KJV Cameo Centenary Edition is, quite simply, one of the finest Bibles I’ve ever owned. The craftsmanship is outstanding. The vintage golden brown calfskin leather feels supple and substantial in the hand, and the full yapp provides both beauty and protection without being cumbersome. It has the kind of presence that invites daily use rather than shelf display. The Cameo text is crisp, readable, and thoughtfully laid out, making long reading sessions genuinely enjoyable. What sets this edition apart, though, is how it carries the weight and stability of the King James Version itself. The KJV is not rushed, not trend-driven, and not shaped by modern cultural pressures. Its language is reverent, musical, and deeply formative. This Centenary Edition honors that legacy beautifully. Psalm 1 in the KJV alone is a reminder of why this translation has endured: Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Beautiful Bible
This is a Beautiful Bible. Absolutely Love the Leather Cover and the Full-Yapp. Need to understand this is going back to the Original Version with the Text Block. It's different from the versions of today.

Great cover and binding, however the text is not of consistent quality. Some of the red letter is lighter, and there are faded areas of the text.

This Bible is truly beautiful. It ticks all the boxes with me . In the past I wouldn’t had been able to afford to buy it, and absolutely a £10 Bible says exactly the same but now being able to afford it is just wonderful to have my beloved Kjv so beautifully made and such a treasure to hold. Very happy. And Amazon have a very good discount which is a bonus . Cambridge have definitely gone all out with this one ❤️

This bible is simply beautiful. Perfect size to hold and travel with. The leather is so soft and smells wonderful. It’s not coated so will patina with age which is nice because it will become unique to the person who owns it. The typeface is excellent. Very clear and readable with the words of Christ in bold red letters. It also has a full yapp
