I’ll be honest, when I first pulled this out of the box, I was a little nervous. It felt so lightweight that I immediately thought it was going to be flimsy or tip over the second I put my gear on it. I’m happy to say I was totally wrong. It’s been surprisingly sturdy and is always either on my couch or bed waiting to be used. I use it everyday. I primarily bought this for my 13” iPad Air with the Magic Keyboard. If you use that setup, you know it’s notoriously top-heavy and almost impossible to use on a soft surface like a bed or a sofa without it flipping backward. This desk completely fixed that problem for me. It provides a solid, flat base that keeps the iPad upright and stable while I’m lounging. It also fits my MacBook perfectly when I need to swap over to a "real" computer for a bit. The dual cushions on the bottom are soft and comfortable. Plus, there are plenty of angles to choose from, so I can actually find a height that doesn't leave my neck sore. Pros: • Much more stable than it looks at first glance. • The lip at the bottom actually keeps the Magic Keyboard from sliding off. • Lightweight enough to toss to the side when I’m done. Cons: • It’s definitely plastic, so it doesn’t have a "high-end" feel, but for the price and functionality, I really can’t complain. If you’re a "work from the couch" or "Netflix in bed" person, this is a total win. I’m really glad I took a chance on it!

This little lap desk is perfect for me. I ba e a bigger one with legs and it is too wide for couch use. This one is simple, nice adjustable angle and has pads on the bottom. The pads are soft and comfortable. The entire thing is plastic that I thought would be flimsy, but honestly I use it to relax with my coloring or sticker puzzle books while watching TV. I usually put a pillow under it to bring it closer to my viewing and working range and it works out perfectly. I got it in pink and it's really cute. Idk if I'd trust my laptop on it tho. It doesn't seem strong enough for that. So overall, for my use it's perfect.

Pretty good little lap desk. I had purchased what looks to be almost exactly the same lap desk quite a lot of years ago. It definitely is the exact same brand name. I had been very disappointed with that first one. The bean bags attached to the bottom of the old one, had almost no filling in them, so they were totally useless in protecting your legs from the plastic desk and a heavy laptop sitting on them. I should have returned that one immediately. So now skip to the new one. It has had some improvements made. The bean bags underneath it are fairly full of the filler, so it does protect your legs. It works well for what I need it to do. I use it more for puzzle books on my lap than a laptop, but I have used it for laptop as well. It has several settings for the slant of the top. It has a decent sized bar at the bottom to keep books or laptops from sliding off. Has a handle for carrying. It looks decently sturdy. I am much more pleased with this one than I ever was the other one. The other one basically rarely got used unless I put it on top of a pillow, which shouldn't have had to happen. Believe me I read the reviews on this one and was prepared to send it back if it wasn't decent. But I did not send it back and I have been using it almost daily. I am pleased with it and think it's a quite good value for the money.

I almost entirely use a laptop while sitting in a chair (at 2 locations). I spend hours a day using the laptop. In one location my chair is quite wide. A laptop table with highly adjustable legs to create the perfect height and angle is ideal. I love that one. This laptop table is fabulous for my 2nd location, where the chair is quite narrow. - The adjustment for screen angle is simple, yet works very well. - The cushions are comfortable and allow for air flow. - Its very light weight. I use it for traveling. - Its very reasonably priced In both locations, I have a place on my right side to use my mouse. So I have no need for a mouse tray. My wife was using a different stand. She tried this one, loved it and immediately insisted that I order one for her.

It’s small, but I believe that it would be large enough to use with a laptop. I use it with an iPad and attached keyboard; sort of a mini laptop setup. It’s plastic, but well made. It’s portable and adjustable. The two pads underneath are comfortable and not “hot” on your lap at all. I use it when I’m typing in my chair while watching tv. I suppose that it would also make a good drawing board due to the multiple adjustable heights. It’s a good; inexpensive and practical product. I’m using it now.

I bought this roughly 9 months ago for $9 and for the first 5ish months it worked perfectly. I liked the versatile angle and the color and the fact that it was neither too big nor too small. It fit my laptop perfectly and helped me with my posture. Unfortunately it broke after those 5 months, but in a way where it was still usable. It just became more annoying to use because it would collapse every time I moved it, but I made it work for a few more months. Unfortunately this week it has broken in a different spot, and this break has rendered it completely unusable as it will not stand up on its own anymore. I considered just buying another but somehow the price has nearly tripled since I bought mine, so I suppose I will look elsewhere.

This stand works great for using my tablet while sitting in my recliner. It holds the tablet at comfortable angle for viewing while not putting any pressure on my legs. It also works well for my laptop. The stand is light weight and easy to carry from room to room.

QUICK UPDATE: I’m changing my review from 4 stars to 5, because I use this every day, and it’s holding up really well. It’s one of those products where I like it so much, I can’t imagine not having it! It takes less than a second to adjust the tilt now that I’ve been using it so long. It holds up my iPad at just the right height, it makes a nice flat platform if I’m eating in the couch, and it’s plenty sturdy enough for writing and coloring. The handle makes it easy to grab. When I first got it, I was a little worried about whether the plastic would break after a lot of use, but so far so good - it’s stronger than I realized. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Original review: I wanted a lap desk that would support me while working on my iPad, writing, and drawing/coloring. I’m pleased to say this is it, and it’s a terrific deal. Let’s talk about sturdiness. I’m left-handed, so I do the thing where I curve my hand around above my writing, to the top of the page. My biggest concern was that the plastic desktop wouldn’t be sturdy enough to handle the pressure of my wrist. However, it is just fine. I’m sure I could break the plastic if I really wanted to, because it’s rigid plastic with some give to it, but it’s plenty strong enough for my needs. I rated it a 4 here because I would love it to be a little thicker, and I feel like if it was treated roughly it could break. And I’m a tough grader. But again…it’s more than strong enough. It’s not flimsy at all. The cushion is quite comfortable, and if I squeeze it, it makes a crunchy sound like bean bag chairs do, so the filling is probably similar. It’s a nice level of padding. The tilt feature is GREAT. I was worried about sturdiness on this, too, since it’s also a piece of rigid plastic, but again, it feels nice and sturdy, and it stays in place securely while on my lap. There’s no clip or anything on the tilt angles, so it pulls right out if you want to change it. The weight of what’s on the desk keeps it in place. For me, that’s a plus. If you want something that locks the tilt into place, this isn’t it, but the grooves are deep, and this isn’t going to move around on you while you are working. Oh, and there is a simple clip holding the desktop flat when it’s not tilted. It’s easy to pull out, but strong enough to keep it in place if you are carrying it by the handle. One more thing I really like - this desk is super light weight! It is easy to grab one handed, using that convenient handle, from wherever I left it. No effort at all. All in all, I’m delighted with this desk, especially at this inexpensive price point.

I just got this so I’m not sure how lasting quality but man my laptop fits on it perfect. (15.6) and it’s very comfortable as well.

Good for the back

This lap desk is very sturdily built and great quality for the price. The beanie cushion things on the underside are really comfy in whatever sitting position you're in, and the grippy fold-out support holds my laptop completely steady.

Bought it as a gift but they love the product

I spend a lot of time using my (large) ipad to do art, and bending over a desk for hours hurts my back. I spent days going through all the lap desks on amazon, and finally ended on this one. I bought this so I could more comfortably draw on the sofa or bed, and its amazing! The cushion is really comfortable and lightweight, so it doesn't feel like I have a brick on my lap. As mentioned, the cushion isn't removable and its made with felt fabric (easy to stain, hard to remove). The foldable bottom flap has a grip so my ipad doesn't slide around at all. This has 6 adjustable inclines, and when on your lap is quite sturdy. Only gave 4* because the plastic isn't very sturdy, and I can easily see this snapping or contorting under a lot of weight or if you dropped it on a bad angle. Otherwise, this was a great purchase! Would definitely recommend it!
