LIMBSAVER Airtech PAD Tikka T3X

An absolute must buy for virtually any rifle. This recoil bad is significantly better than the factory Tikka pad. It is much softer and grippier than the factory. Feels much better on the shoulder than any factory pad I have felt. The fit and finish is excellent. Feels like it is made of quality materials. I will be purchasing one for all of my firearms. Excellent! Mounted to a 300 Win Mag. Spent a day at the range, no issues. Took away probably 50% of the recoil.

Placed this on my Tikka T3x Lite Roughtech 300 wsm rifle , fit perfectly no problems whatsoever, this is the forth recoil pad I’ve bought for my TIKKA’s and all fit perfectly, great product.

The factory recoil pad on the Tikka T3X rifle is one of its weak points and was likely used to help keep costs down. It only offers about an 1/8” of real recoil absorbing material. The Limb Saver Airtech offers about 1” of soft material. This translates into a huge reduction in felt recoil, allowing you to enjoy shooting your rifle for much longer. Installation is very simple. Remove two Phillips head screws from your factory recoil pad and install the Limb Saver using the same screws. Simple. My only complaint about this recoil pad is its fitment. The original pad has lip on its butt plate allowing it to fit precisely into synthetic stocks for a snug fit. The Limb Saver only makes contact with the edge of the stock because it doesn’t have the lip on its butt plate, it’s just a flat plate. This means the only thing holding it in place is the tightness of the screws. For a more secure fit, you would have to place something in the end of the stock, perhaps a 3D printed plate, so the Limb Saver has a better platform to mount it on. This is a poor, lazy design.

Bought a Tikka Roughtech in a 300 win mag. This is my first hunting rifle and it shoots like a cannon. It’s got some recoil, even with the factory muzzle break that comes with it. Putting this on made a big difference. Either 300 win mag, you can say it really is a limb saver lol. It was also a perfect fit on my rifle. For that I’m giving it my 5 star review. Now to further manage felt recoil, and better control, I ordered a real muzzle break

Installed this limbsaver recoil pad on my rifle and it’s a huge upgrade over the factory one from tikka. The 308 is a low recoil rifle as it is, but this recoil pad on it has the felt recoil like that of a small center fire like a .223, perfect for my young son to use! Highly recommend for young shooters, or smaller framed shooters looking for a lighter recoil in their rifle. I will be buying another one to put onto my favourite 300 win mag rifle also
