It's been probably close to a year since i bought any low sodium v8, but i remember the taste. i've drunk 2 cans and they taste sweet. why?

Just a guess. Being low sodium, there is less salt, less of the salty taste. I noticed the difference when I switched. Now I don't miss it. There are 5 grams of sugar in the 5.5 oz can, but no (0) added sugar. Which means that the sugar comes from the veg juices they use to make the product. The reduced salt doesn't cover up the sweet like it does in the standard product.

does this help n weight loss?

We buy it because its low sodium, and for the size of can and hope its a form of getting some vegetable into our body. Don't know about weight loss.
