Is there ink refills for the self ink stamp? Or do you have to just buy a new one?

There are refills, they are easy to find on Amazon!

Is there a way to see your custom text in their format before ordering? I have a long name and want to make sure it looks spaced okay.

Not that I know of. My daughter in law's name is 13 letters long (including the space between first and last) and it is all there and elgible.

I just want to be clear, if i purchase the embossed it includes everything i need correct? or is it just a plate and i need an existing tool?

Mine came with everything I needed. It came with the tool and the plates separate, and instructions on how to snap them together
