As a small engine mechanic, these are a quick fix instead of replacing the entire cable. Highly recommend.

Works well to fix a broken cable. I found that taking it apart and inserting the cable into the hook end and using solder and propane torch makes for much stronger repair. The set screws don't seem to be strong enough to secure the cable by itself. I soldered the cable and used JB weld inside the set screw assembly and allowed to set for 24 hours Here is a picture of the finished repair.

Suited my applications. 1st set was missing a few set screws. Easily drilled out the cable end to fit my cable.

I had the set screw tight against the cable and it didn't hold. It let go on the first attempted use.

The part is constructed in two pieces, held together by a hex screw. The cable wire is secured by a pan head screw. Both screws are thread size M3x0.5. To reduce the chance of the two pieces coming apart accidentally, separate the two pieces and use a file to cut a small groove in the Z-bend where the hex screw engages. The hole for the cable wire extends into the Z-bend portion. To further secure the wire, it may be soldered of brazed.

It was okay but not perfect

Perfect inexpensive solution. Fit perfectly on one of my karts. Had to drill one of these out a tad bit to make it fit the throttle cable on another. Mounts securely. I would buy them again 👍🏼

Fixed my son's lawnmower with these after the end of his start lever cable broke

It was easy to install and fit the cable properly and fits the application. Much cheaper than buying a complete new cable.
