Good little knife for EDC.
GANZO really gives you good quality knives at the price point. They don’t use super premium materials, but they use good materials, and more importantly they have good quality knives. The fit & finish is always good, they have at least minimal HRC, and a lot of different variations. They been strong for a decade for a reason. This is a 7” knife 3” on the blade, 4” on the handle. Very lightweight at 2.8oz, strong detent, good action, and sharp out box. Ergos feel good on hand with a slim handle, good tension on the reversible pocket clip. Making this knife totally ambidextrous. Another good offering from Ganzo, they know who they are and give you affordable knives with nice quality.

Fantastic pocket knife for the money
I don't normally review items but this deserves it. First off when it arrived I was pleasantly surprised in the package it came in. It came in a nice box similar to what other knives come in that are ten times the cost of this knife. Inside the box was the knife and a little draw string cloth tote of which I wont be using but is still nice. They also included a bandaid which I thought was a funny little touch. Now for the knife itself. I didn't have very high expectations because of the price range but I was pleasantly surprised at the build quality. The action is smooth with zero grittiness and flawless lock up. There is zero blade play when open and when closed it is perfectly centered. The blade retention is right on point and I have no worries about the knife opening in my pocket. Out of the box you won't be easily able to flick the knife open and close and the access lock will most likely be alittle stiff. You can bend the access lock springs to make it less stiff but I'd use caution as this may make the lock too loose causing unintended unlocks when using the knife. You can also adjust the pivot screws to flick the knife open and closed easier but it's finite and too much will cause blade play. The hardware and thumb studs are an anodized blue and the pocket clip is a standard affair that offer left or right tip up carry. The blade itself is 440c with a dull polish that's done very well with Lazer etched logos on both sides of the blade. The knife out of the box was sharp but not hair popping sharp so I reprofiled the edge to 40 degrees inclusive and it flies through my arm hair. The knife takes an adge very well and wasn't difficult to sharpen. I bought this knife as a beater because of the price and I feel it's one of the best super budget knives you could get. I'm not a fan of Ganzos copy cat knives but this one is a nice step in the right direction. I've tried to think of cons but it's next to impossible at this price point, if I had to think of one it would be the placement of the thumb studs. They could have been placed differently for a better thumb purchase for opening. Other than that you get a lot of bang for your buck and I'm personally more than satisfied with this little gem.

Best bang for the buck!
Best bang for the buck! Ganzo takes “budget EDC” to the next level with the quality and materials you get for the cost. As an avid knife guy I much more enjoy carrying a quality blade that doesn’t break the bank in case it’s lost or damaged. I will do things with this knife that I will never do with my Spyderco knife collection because of the cost. I own 4 Ganzo knives and they are made well. There is nothing wrong with their 440c and let’s be honest, most folks including me don’t need an uber steel for their daily needs. The Ganzo 440c is easily sharpened and holds an edge well for the blade steel chemistry. The action is stiff initially… it needs to break in. Use some KPL in the pivot and play with it for a little while. It breaks in very nicely indeed.

Awesome knife
Fantastic for the price. This is my 5th Ganzo knife. All are a fantastic bargain. Build quality far exceeds the price The blade steel is a bit on the lower side of quality these days, but still came razor sharp. So far holding a great level of sharpness after serious use. Blade is on the thin side, but flat grinds are. Easy to open and close. The lock is strong and easy to use. Was a little hard to move at first, but loosened up good. Can say the steel being 440 will hold sharp for a decent amount of time, but will need resharpening sooner than say, D2. Overall an excellent knife for the price. The feel and look of this knife well exceeds the price. Highly recommend Ganzo knives.

Takes work
Updated: I added a star because, after disassembling the knife and adjusting screw/spring tensions, the knife opens and closes much easier. It still needs a little more work to get it really dialed in. There is some minor blade play vertically currently. I want to give it 4 or 5 stars, but the amount of effort to get this to a comfortable, usable knife is a bit too much. However, i have no complains about the steel or materials the knife is composed of. Light and comfortable. Original: The blade itself is very nice, but the lock and detent are very disappointing. The blade opens well but closing is stiff and horrible. It requires two hands to close which is the exact opposite reason I wanted this style of knife. At the halfway point of closing, the blade feels like it is hitting a spring and is incapable of closing further. Upon inspection, the detent is too agressive and actually stops the blade from closing without using the other hand or a finger to close fully. Very disappointed.

Light, Sharp, but the hinge is stiff
So I bought this knife for my wife a while back and she had carried it for a while. Here are her thoughts: Out of the box pros: - Knife was very sharp (This one took hair off my are easily right out of the box and the point sank into a table by accident as it was that sharp) - Detent was perfect and would not open even when shaken vigorously - Blade was centered exactly and needed no adjustment - Skeletonized frame for reduced weight (This knife is extremely light) - 440C stainless steel hardened to an HRC of 58 makes for good (not great) edge retention and easy sharpening - The knife is small and easy to carry. It was small enough to carry in the watch pocket of my jeans. It filled that pocket entirely but it did fit. - G-lock is very strong, easy to use, and there is no danger of cutting yourself. Out of the box Cons: - The hinge uses one bronze and one plastic washer. This makes it very stiff. Out of the box it could not be flicked open at all and in fact required two hands to open. After the application of nano oil it can now be opened with one hand, but still will not flick open easily. (It is possible by holding the G-lock and flicking the blade but not with the thumb stud.) - Not a deep carry pocket clip. Instead the knife sticks up by a millimeter or so. This is not a huge issue but it does make the knife visible when being carried Overall this is a very nice knife and should be on anyone's short list for budget options. Giving it 4 stars as the hinge would be better with either two bronze washers or the same steel ball bearings they use in other knives in this line.

Far better than expected
First impression was this is incredibly nice for the money and I'm very happy with it. Fit and finish are more in line with 50 to $100 knives. I've owned a ZT0450 and I am still happy with this blade. The size blade and handle are pretty much perfect for me for EDC. I really like the blade shape and having a sharpening choil is nice. The blade thickness increases slightly just before the choil but it's no big deal and I easily sharpened that out. It arrived a little tight for doing the axis lock flick open/closed move. After using it a few days it has improved to where I can do that. The pocket clip is well designed but a little bit firm, I will probably remove it and file or dremel the underside a bit to thin it out slightly to lessen the clip strength some. For a knife this light, 2.6 oz. it doesn't need to be that firm. At this price I won't worry about taking this apart and maybe tweaking a few things to improve the action even more. If I mess it up I can just buy another at 16.95. I will probably buy another one anyways to have a spare. It is amazing you can own such a nice knife for so little. I highly recommend this knife!

Empfehlenswert
Sieht sehr wertig aus und fühlt sich auch so an. Ist aus der Schachtel schon ordenlich scharf. Die Mechanik ist noch etwas schwergängig, aber durch häufigen Gebrauch wird es garantiert besser.
