Knock your socks off sound, super comfy, high quality build, good ANC
I call myself an audiophile but honestly, just havent found the perfect headphones.... these PX7 S3 are awfully close to perfect. Vs Airpod Max USB-C Sound quality on the APMs are very close to the PX7s and everyone knows these are the market leaders (whether the fruit company cares about them is a different problem). Just incredible sound on the PX7s and weight is so much better, I love my APMs but I slot the PX7s above the APM. Vs Sony XM6 I had last 3 generations of Sonys, 4,5,6s. There are so many things great about the Sonys, especially ANC. However, for me, so disappointed, the biggest 3x issues for me - my ears touch inside the ear cup even after aftermarket pads. I swear my ears are "normal". I cant wear them for this reason alone. I am not a fan of the sound, I know, crazy but the soundstage is so narrow, I dont know how anyone can say the XM6s have amazing sound, its fine, nothing amazing, that tiny driver they use can only do so much, finally, the build. When I turn my head I can hear the plastic creak, sorry for the price I cant recommend them. Vs Bose Ultra 2nd Generation Yes, the Bose have great fit, good build, but tired of Bose shortsighted EQ and limited sound stage and other gimmicks. I returned these because the sound was just not there even after EQ. Bose should try to develop a new driver and not keep reusing the same driver for last 6 years (serious zero innovation). Overall Sound Quality is stellar....just beautiful sound. Great drivers and the improvements with the new amps on each driver, new chipset and improvements on the voicecoils are really noticeable vs the S2es. I wish I could hear the Px8 S2s as reviews say their amazing but the price point I would be afraid to take them on trips. Fit is amazing, zero pressure or comfort issues, ears dont touch inside and the headband is great and clapping force is perfect (I have a big head though so this is saying a lot!). App is great and I have EQd these which is great - would be nice if B&W had a bit more advanced EQ but it achieves what is needed. A few cons - mics could be better on calls but not bad, usable and no one has complained. Would nice if the earcups were just a hair wider and would be nice if there was bit more bass hit/extension. Good job B&W on the S3's! Looking forward to the S4's and continued improvements.

Oooh the sound quality!! ๐ถ๐ถ
These headphones are AMAZING!!! The sound quality is crazy good!! I turned on True Sound and havenโt had to make any other adjustments; mind blowing! The app is flawless and Iโve been using Tidal through the app. The build quality is great! Also had an update once connected to the app. There was no issue with the update as others have mentioned. They are so comfortable, not heavy feeling on my head and the ear cups fit my ears perfectly. I first got the Cambridge P100se, but returned them the same day they were delivered. They were HUGE and too HEAVY. They were also very clunky, and not comfortable. Plus, the build quality was nowhere near as good as these PX7 S3. Wish I could have gotten these on sale to save a little money, but still totally worth the full price!! Iโve had B&O, Bose, Cambridge Audio, headphones and these PX7 S3 are so much better than those. Again, itโs the sound quality and comfort! If I could give them more than 5 stars I would! ๐โค๏ธ๐ถ HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Buy these for the soundโฆ
This review is divided up into a summary, then FIRST IMPRESSIONS, BUILD QUALITY, SETUP, BLUETOOTH, THE APP, NOISE CANCELLING, BATTERY LIFE, THE SOUND, and THE BOTTOM LINE. Though it is intended to be read through, it *is* long and may be boring so feel free to jump around. โYa'akov WHY NOT 5 STARS? It's all about the app, I'll explain below WHY 4 STARS? The B&W Px7 S3s (I'll call them "S3" for simplicity) may just be that sweet spot where spending more is going to get you very little in return. The quality of the materials, the care in design, the comfort, the noise cancellation, and the listening experience are all to the point that practical improvements seem unlikely by spending more. FIRST IMPRESSIONS From the unboxing, featuring Apple inspired heavyweight paper-only premium packaging it is clear that B&W intends to justify the eye-watering price of the S3 by delivering a bit of luxury theater. But, fortunately, it's not all show. The only suppport for the headphones inside the box is the included high quality hard case. Lifting it from the box there is a definite weight and solidity. The case presents the S3 to the new owner like jewelry and B&W's understated branding doesn't interfere with the experience. The first look at the S3 is reminiscent of getting into a luxury car. The inside of case is covered in somethign reminscent of Alcantera used in high end car interiors and has the effect of making the case disappear and offering the S3 to the owner. Unlike some headpghones which require swivelling the earcups into topologically improbable configurations to fit, the S3 simply lie flat and it feels like a presentation case more than a mere strioage case, and less work to take care of your new expensive posession. If you buy these, don't rush through the one chance at opening them for the first time. Sit down and enjoy it. BUILD QUALITY It is hard to imagine how to improve the build quality of the S3. The fit and finish is top notch. The materials are all premium. There is not a flimsy thing about the S3. The first thing you are likely to notice are the high quality PU (Polyurethane) faux leather covers on the earpads. Soft, tough, and in this application a far better choice than actual leather. They *are* user replaceble. The first thing you *won't* notice is that the headband extensions and arms are of *machined aluminum*. Being painted, you could and would easily mistake them for some sort of engineering polymer plastic. Using aluminum permits a single cantilever design which is very nice looking. Under the headbands woven textile top cover and PU leather pad is a spring steel band that holds the headphones against your ears. Some people have said the pressure is a bit too much but I am sensitive to that feeling and while it is there it doesn't rise to the level of my attention. SETUP If all you care about is getting your music from your phone to your ears the setup couldn't be easier. I use Apple products but if you are using Android that supports Google's Fast Pair, it will do the job for you. If you are using iOS it's just a matter of sliding the S3 power switch past ON to PAIR (it's momentary and returns to on), then go to your Bluetooth settings and choose the Px7 S3 from the list. Done. ...HOWEVER... you *will* want to connect to the app as well, and that is a separate operation. Nothing too ardous and the app will walk you through it. BLUETOOTH The reliabilty and range of the Bluetooth connection seems more than adequate. Though I am in a building where I can literally see more than 100 bluetooth devices if I scan, I have eperienced no dropouts and the range is at least the wall-interrupted ~10m (~33ft) from my iPhone 16 Pro Max that I have practically tested. THE APP At the risk of further burying the lede I will say something about the app here to avoid ending on the least positive note of this review. The app has three important functions: โข updating firmware โข selecting the function of the "action" button (noise cancelling mode or voice assistant) โข providing a 5-band equalizer The overwhelming majority of the space and energy in the app is around marketing streaming services. Maybe you are actually intersted in this. That would be legitimate but I am certainly not. Now, the firmware is important, the action button defaults to noise cancellation mode (on more buton would have been nice) but the eq is the thing you will really want. It is inadequate, with only five bands--but you *will* want it if you are picky about sound. I will cover this in THE SOUND section below. NOISE CANCELLATION It is certainly adequate with a very nice, natural ambient modeโbut, apparently there *are* options that do better so if top performing isolation is your concern these may not make you happyโbut you *will* be giving up the S3 sound. BATTERY LIFE B&W claim "up to 30 hours" which sounds like a marketing claim to me. In practice I have not used the headphones with charging for long enough to know how long they can last. My best surmise is tens of hours is the right magnitude, just how many tens? I don't know. FINALLY... THE SOUND These headphones sound *good*. The bass is impressive. Detailed and precise, yet with surprising energy it the lower frequencies. Really impressive. The high end is brilliant. Not harsh but with amazing detail in things like strings and high hats. The mids... They seem to have forgotten to include them in the special treatment. It's not that they sound bad, it's that when compared to the lows and highs they seem... meh. BUT, this is where the app and it's unfortunately low resolution eq come in. The center slider changes everythng. Rolling off lows and high and boosting the mids makes the world right--at least for me. Now, this is going to depend on your ears, your music, and your personal discernment. I listening to a mix of classical, jazz, alternative, and rock. I was a recording engineer (in the past, no longer) and I am verfy pickyโnot in "audiophile" mode but in repoduce the artist's work mode. A *good* recording sounds *good* on these 'phones. Really good. Close your eyes and learn new things good. THE BOTTOM LINE If you priortize fine things, comfort, and sound BUY THESE. If you are verty concerned about noise cancellation find a way to try these and see if they are enough because it would be a shame to buy something else not knowing. Enjoy your new headphones, whatever you buy.

Stunning Detail and Beautiful Design
The Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S3 are among the most impressive wireless headphones Iโve heard. The level of detail is genuinely jaw-dropping. Subtle textures in vocals, strings, and instruments come through with remarkable clarity, making familiar recordings sound fresh and revealing. The sound is clean, dynamic, and refined, with excellent balance across the frequency range. These headphones manage to combine detail and musicality in a way that makes long listening sessions very enjoyable. The design is equally impressive. Bowers & Wilkins clearly focused on elegance and premium materialsโthe build quality feels luxurious, and the overall aesthetic is sleek and understated. If you are looking for wireless headphones that deliver both exceptional sound quality and beautiful design, the Px7 S3 are an excellent choice.

Upgrade Experience
I bought these as an upgrade to my Beats Studio Pro 3s, of which I'm on my second pair and have been using them for many years. I will keep the Beats in my "arsenal" they're better suited to handle sweat, from what I understand. The Px7s are my go-to for having a good car audio experience. > The ANC isn't as sweeping as I was expecting, but it definitely tones down the road noise in my 335i. > The audio is definitely a step up from the Beats, as you would expect for an additional $250. I'm not an actual audiophile, but I am a musician and I mostly listen to jazz on these: you definitely hear all of the acoustic instruments with greater clarity. Even listening to podcasts, I feel like I hear more of the room ambience. > The battery life is as advertised: I listened to them for six hours on a recent car trip and they were at 85%. > I would not have bought a pair (like the Sony in this range) that lacked physical controls. These are less intuitive than the Beats, but you do get the additional ability to fast-forward and rewind. > I found the auto-sensor that pauses audio when removing ear cups too quirky for my tastes, even after the firmware upgrade; I have disabled that. > I like the EQ feature in the app, and have left mine with a permanent mid-boost that works for my ears. > The physical comfort between the two is not significantly different, though it feels like the Px7 encompass and sit flat over my ears. Oddly, after a few hours, the cushioned band on the Px7s starts to bug me a bit. On an unlimited budget, I would definitely consider upgrading to the Px8 S2, to get just that additional little bit of audio superiority. But within the price band they occupy, these are a nice step up. I am definitely happy with my purchase.

Comfortable, Good Sound, Poor Bluetooth Connectivity
The pros for me on these headphones are a sleek design, comfortable fit and good noise cancellation (I traveled cross country twice with these). The sound quality is quite good too, though listening to podcasts for some reason sounds like listening to a conversation in a cavernous basement (the EQ helps a little but is not great). My main con is the bluetooth connection drops often and it takes a while to reconnect (several minutes). I thought this was just because of being on a plane with lots of other bluetooth around me, but then it happened at home and I just could not get the connection to come back quickly (resetting the pairing works but is a pain and should not be something you should have to do repeatedly). I ended up returning them.

Perfect sound. Decent ANC. Top notch build.
Coming from a musical background, sound quality is my biggest weighted factor when evaluating headphones. These are above any others Iโve tried in this price range (Bose QC Ultra, Sony XM6, Apple APM). The app isnโt as feature rich as Sonyโs app, but itโs 5-band EQ is all I needed to get the perfect sound (though, itโs honestly near perfect right out of the box!). Sound stage is a tiny bit bass forward, but it doesnโt take anything away from the clear, articulate highs. My tip - boost the mids just a tad in the app and youโll have a perfect EQ for modern music and everyday listening. Build quality is also important to me. Once you pick these up, then hold a new pair of Sony or Bose for the same price, you can never look back. They feel like plastic toys in comparison. The only other pair of headphones that match the build quality here would be the AirPod Maxโs, but I prefer the design and look of these PX7 S3s. A mix of leather, aluminum, and fabric - they look elegant and refined. Heavier than the Sony and Bose, lighter than the Apple. Perfect middle ground in my opinion. Not uncomfortable whatsoever. BIGGEST DRAWBACK, and really my only complaint is the Active Noise Cancellation. Itโs just not on the same tier as Apple, Sony, and Bose. They really are the leaders in this category. Does the ANC here suck? Absolutely not. Itโs just not the best if you want complete isolation. If this is your biggest weighted criteria when buying new cans, itโs the only time that I would not recommend the PX7 S3s - go with the competition. For me, I have a pair of AirPod Pro 2s that will suffice if I need more ANC. But if you want a solid build, with long battery life, real physical buttons, outstanding sound quality, and a straight forward app that allows you to EQ even further, and if your budget is up to $500 - these are VERY hard to beat.

Honestly review
This is THE BEST HEADPHONES under $600-500 i ever Use. I compare with Bose QC ULTRA GEN 2 & SONY XM6. Pros 1. Sound Quality is top tier. Crystal Clear & sound stage The best Loudest almost same like PX8 And if you like More Heavy Bass just set EQ low to +6db incredible. For Overall AUDIO Better then Bose and sony 2. Connectivity is so Smooth and So fast then Bose and sony. 3. ANC and Transparency almost the same like Bose Ultra 2. But SONY XM6 Is Better. 4. Battery Life. Good enough for 30 hours. 5. Looks and Quality Top Tier looking Luxury and styles not like Bose and sony using Cheap Plastic. 6. Future you can use USB Losless audio or 3.5mm Cons 1. Expensive 2. No future Immersive sound or Head tracking sound like Bose qc ultra 2 have it. 3. No speak to chat or conversation ambient sound future. Even sony xm6 and Bose have it. 4. To expensive Without includes those Future.

Superb sound out of the box even better build quality and feel,
I purchased a seinnheiser acentum plus a Sony xm6 and now this PX7 S3. Obviously the cheaper option was eliminated in the first trial but I wanted to know if a cheap headphone from a big name company would be a good move. Then comes the Sonys, impeccable ANC (slightly better than the B&W) good not great when it comes to sound even with different 10 band EQ profiles. The XM6 also felt bulkier, weird style with the cups protruding out of my head substantially, people looked at me different on the streets. Well now comes the B&W PX7 S3, low profile so it won't stick out, beautiful design (despite being subjective to the user), amazing build materials with texture, metal and solid buttons. The ear cups has more space so your ears will fit in the cavity instead of being pressed like in the XM6, the drivers are also at an angle so it follows the profile of the ears, ear cups are comfortable and of premium material that are soft but not too compressed against your head. ANC is good but below XM6 BUT remember that the first duty of the headphone is sound AND BOY LET ME TELL YOU, what an amazing experience listening with these. Crisp voices and mid tones, well separated base , great volume. Overall a superior class overall the X6 for sure. 24bit audio over USB C, and Qualcomm codecs for this with the greatest and latest android phones like me. Despite the price believe me those will be a long run kind of headphones.

Worth the Price

Not perfect
The sound is really good but they need to improve the ANC as it is less than Sony and Bose. Also, when you wear it for an hour you will feel discomfort.
