Silicon Valley: The Complete Fifth Season (DVD)

I would give the season 4.5 stars but having a show about technology released on old technology is a slap in the face. At least the cover art is blurry to reflect the blurry nature of DVDs in the age of 1080/2160p video...It came with a digital HD copy that I could redeem on Google play. I never bother with digital copies since I like to physically own my shows and movies but claiming this digital copy went fairly smooth. I'd still prefer an actual bluray copy since I find myself nitpicking every video flaw I see when streaming this show given I'm used to 1:1 bluray rips of my movie collection.

This is a slap in the face for every fan that has the blurays. Why would I go with a 25 year old format for a show about breaking new technology?

It sucks have DVD only, but it include digital HD copy. 1 star for DVD, its shame! 7 stars for HD digital copy, so 4 for final

I don't know. A series that I really love, I'll pony up for the discs, even in a world where everything is digital. Almost as a collection of sorts. Was sad that they dropped down to DVD. They sort of did the same thing with my other favorite tech series Halt and Catch Fire. In fact the final season didn't even get to DVD which is a bummer. I hope that doesn't happen here.

I was pretty disappointed that season 5 wasn't released on Blu-ray like the previous seasons, but since I prefer to own physical copies of all my shows, so I picked up this DVD release. Included with this DVD was the HD digital copy of the show that I redeemed on VUDU. (that is the service that I use to store all my digital and Ultraviolet copies)

Don't waste your money on this. Low quality, "HD" download only works on a few apps. No way to watch it in high quality on a mediacentre PC. DVD box is of the cheapest quality; very flimsy. Not worth it to add to your collection.Why isn't there a decent bluray release?This is HBO's way of telling you to kiss their piss.(Oh, and the show itself? Brilliant.)

too bad Erlich left, I enjoyed him. And I wish they left jinyang out. But I still enjoyed watching this season. Just not the best out of them

I wasn't going to purchase SV5 because it wasn't available in Blu-ray format, but I'm glad I did. This series is just too good to miss, and season 5 didn't disappoint. If you liked the previous seasons, you'll like this.

Biased review maybe but this is my favorite show so it's getting a 5 star ratting from me

Can not wait for season 6.
