Has anyone checked this bag domesticaly and did the airlines frown over the 62 linear inches part?

The size was never questioned. We flew Delta and Alaskan airlines. Also flew to Canada with it

Have you checked this bag and did the airline charge you an "oversized bag" fee since it just over the 62" mark? (62.6")

When I checked it I had no problems, you won't either. I think those measurements are generous as I also have a Patagonia Black Hole 100 L wheeled duffle with dimensions measuring 62.3 in (never had problems with this bag either) but the Patagonia is a bit larger in comparison to the Osprey.

Does the bag part come off the wheels part so ti could be washed or is it stuck on? Does anyone know of oneof these that does?

Bag does not come off wheels. However, it is an excellent bag. I do not know of any wheeled bags that could do what you are asking.
