are these wached and rinsed of most of the grit?

Yes, but for best results I still soak them in salt water over night or at least a few hours before use to increase the flavor.

i would say roughly 30-40 morels per lb

Are any of the morels harvested and sold, false morels?

No, this company only uses experienced people to harvest these wild mushrooms
