My son started getting into climbing and I didn’t want to spend a ton on shoes he would outgrow. These have been perfect for him. Comfortable, durable, and good grip.

My son joined a rock climbing club and has been paying an additional $4 to rent shoes every visit. These shoes are comfortable for him and saving a lot of money.

I started using these shoes about a month ago, as I wanted to save money on rental fees while indoor climbing twice per week. They have provided me with a decent starter shoe. The sticky rubber utilized in this shoe is significantly better than what you find on traditional sneakers, and I felt much more secure while climbing on some of the basic routes quickly after putting these shoes on. I am able to wear these shoes comfortably for longer sessions without experiencing pain in my feet. The shoes are made from a very light-weight synthetic material, with a slightly soft sole that provides for easy break-in and moderate to aggressive traction. The rubber on these shoes performs similarly to most climbing shoes, and is good on gym holds, but does not provide the same level of stickiness and precision found in higher-end climbing shoes. The fit of these shoes was true to size for me, with a snug fit around my toes, but not painful. For the price, they are an excellent choice, especially if you are just starting out with climbing or if you only plan to climb infrequently. These shoes should not be relied upon for climbing advanced routes or on outdoor climbs; however, they are a great option for beginners or for those who are climbing primarily at gyms, and are a good value.
