Game Changer for Home Brew
Over the years we've slowly evolved from terrible drip coffee to single serve pod coffee to pod-based espresso. Mostly because the footprint of those machines was small and they could be easily purchased/replaced for a couple hundred dollars. And they do a great job of producing a 30 second cup of coffee on the way out the door. But to enjoy a really good cup of coffee in the evening or on weekend mornings, we wanted something better without making trips to the coffee shop. Enter the Rivelia. We've used this machine for about 3 months and couldn't be more pleased. We've always had good experience with De'Longhi kitchen products and the Rivelia is no different. We are still learning about beans and grind settings and all espresso-related fine tuning, but out of the box, the coffee from the Rivelia is spectacular. And I've generally brewed 10 to 12 ounce cups of coffee, so I never thought I would enjoy a one ounce cup of espresso. I was wrong. Just the taste and aroma of freshly ground beans makes all the difference. The Rivelia offers multi user settings and a slew of one touch drink options. You can easily customize the size and strength of any beverage. And I was never a cold coffee person, but the wife is. And the cold brew drinks are really good as well. Is super automatic the way to go? Yes. While I'm sure I would appreciate the taste and refinement of all the various options of a manual espresso machine -- I have no desire to spend the time measuring, grinding, tamping, frothing, cleaning, cleaning, and cleaning. If you're in the camp of wanting a great cup of coffee/espresso that may be just a notch below barista level without all of the work and hassle, then this machine is what you're looking for. The grind setting is easily adjusted based on your bean type and desired courseness. The pucks created by the machine are comparable to what you see from manual machines. The automatic frother works perfectly and the froth is adjusted from creamy to dense with a turn of the dial. You can also keep milk in the container and just put it in the fridge to use again later. Easy. It also comes with two bean hoppers so you can easily switch between coffee types. After much research, I like the bean hopper option versus the machines that just have you pour beans into the top of the machine. Much more user friendly. Cleaning and maintenance was our biggest concern. As previously mentioned, we didn't want to spend half an hour cleaning up after each cup of coffee. Good news is, we don't. The machine virtually cleans itself. It runs a warming and rinse cycle when the machine is turned on and it runs a rinse cycle when the machine is turned off. It also quickly rinses the milk frother before removing for storage. And when the frother needs to be cleaned, just put all of the parts in the dishwasher. The machine alerts when the coffee grounds tray needs to be emptied. Just dump in the trash (or compost), rinse off and you're ready to go again. About once a month the infuser needs to be cleaned, which takes about 30 seconds to run under warm water and then let dry. As an aside, we had a small issue with one of the machine attachments. We contacted De'Longhi customer service and they resolved it for us immediately. I'm sure other super automatic machines are great and there are pros and cons to each, but we are very happy with Rivelia and would absolutely buy this machine again. Highly recommended.

Wonderful espresso machine
I’ve had this espresso machine for a while now and am very pleased with it. I had sifted through so many other machines but decided on this one primarily due to the ease of swapping out bean hoppers. It’s easy to use and the customizable profiles are a game changer; it even allows you to set the brew intensity. The machine is not very loud and is a breeze to change the grind. The descaling process is super easy, I purchased solution from Amazon. I have no regrets buying this.

Weak Espresso
I was used to a Breville espresso machine that brewed nice STRONG espresso. The only reason I switched to this Delonghi was because it was fully automatic and does everything for you with no mess and I liked that idea - no tamping no having to figure out how much coffee to put in there etc. but I could never get a strong enough espresso out of this thing. I tried many different beans and different settings. It just resulted in very weak coffee every time. When I bumped the settings all the way up to “strong” and turned the grind level down, the espresso would barely drip out and take forever, but I couldn’t get any crème with that. Or sometimes the computer in it tells you to change the settings because it thinks it will be too strong. For the price I needed to love this machine - and I just didn’t. I couldn’t get the same quality taste that my Breville produced. So I bought the new Breville Barista Touch Impress and I am in love with that machine! Strong coffee and no thinking required.

De'Longi Rivelia
Thoroughly impressed with the Revelia Espresso Machine. It's easy to use and clean. You set up, up to 4 profiles and adjust the strength and sized of each coffee based on personal preference. Having the ability to use several hoppers for different types of coffee was the selling point for me. My wife uses decaf and I use regular and decaf dark roast. The coffee comes out hot with lots of creme. The grinder is a little loud but you get use to it. Compared to other machines of this caliber it was well worth the money. The easy to read display reminds you to clean the used grinds and to clean the milk container. I would recommend this to any coffee aficionado.

The best part of my morning
This machine has completely elevated my morning coffee routine! The De’Longhi Rivelia is beautifully designed — the white finish looks sleek and modern on the counter — and surprisingly compact for everything it does. The built-in burr grinder is quiet and consistent, and I love the bean switch system that lets me swap between two different coffee beans without any mess. It’s perfect if you want decaf in the afternoon but full-strength espresso in the morning. The touchscreen interface is very intuitive, and customizing drinks (espresso, latte, cappuccino, even iced lattes) is simple and quick. The milk frother produces great foam for cappuccinos and lattes, and cleanup is straightforward, which is a big plus compared to other machines I’ve owned. It heats up quickly, so I can go from powering it on to sipping a drink in just a couple minutes. It’s definitely an investment, but if you enjoy café-quality drinks at home and want convenience without sacrificing flavor, this machine is worth every penny.

DeLonghi Rivelia pebble gray
The DeLonghi Rivelia works exactly as advertised. This was our first automatic espresso maker so we researched quite awhile. The double bean hopper made the decision for us. There are many coffee settings and you can customize to create your own personal settings. Hard to spend that much on a coffee maker but we have been extremely satisfied, especially after making many coffees during the Christmas gatherings. We purchased the Pebble color and it is a nice medium gray with blue tones. We like the color. This espresso maker is easy to use and clean. We use the 2 bean hoppers for decaf and regular and bought a 2nd frother for plant based milk and whole milk options. Fantastic dense froth! Coffee temp is good and adding hot milk takes the temp up for sure. Definitely happy with our purchase.

Whopping huge upgrade in every way over my old De'Longhi
I just upgraded from a five year old De'Longhi Magnifica S espresso machine. I thought it was broken, which was what started me looking, but after I'd bought the Rivelia, I was able to get it working again. It made no difference. Once I tried the Rivelia, I was done with my old machine. I had two of them (one for home, one for work) and replaced both of them with Rivelias. It was a no brainer. The Rivelia is effectively the same machine, but much, much better. Here's why: 1) The taste is just better. The foam from the Magnifica always tasted strange, and I found I'd just stopped making lattes, even though that was primarily why I'd bought the machine in the first place. Americanos are also wonderful, and now I'm torn between what drink I'm going to have next, and I haven't even explored most of the options! 2) I can finally get enough volume to fill up my cup with the intensity I want. The old machine was geared around traditional espresso sizes, and I'm more of a grande guy. 3) The new touch screen has profiles so I can customize the drinks how I like, which is fantastic for our office and the heathens who don't know how to make coffee. 4) It no longer prompts me to empty the grounds when it's not really filled up. The one caveat I do have is that when it tells me to empty the grounds, the grounds container sometimes is locked in, and I still haven't quite figured out how to unlock it reliably (maybe the little red plastic piece)? I always get it open, but it's a bit irritating to initially pull it and have it stuck. 5) It's quieter than the old unit, and turns on and heats up faster. 6) I love the ability to switch between beans, which is sweet for decaf and non-decaf, and the aforementioned heathens with their bad coffee choices. 7) The design of the machine is attractive, and it feels elegant to use. This was a huge upgrade over my older De'Longhi in every way and I couldn't (other than the locked grounds tray) be happier.

Great features.
Best coffee I eve have so far. Love the functionality and the design. Bought it a couple months ago and I will give it 5 stars but I stated noticing my coffee is not that hot anymore as it used to be when I bought it.
