The perfect low carb treat! I love how legendary allows me to have the nostalgia of my childhood pop tarts- without the blood sugar spikes. Anyone who has issues with insulin resistance or diabetes understand that riding the blood sugar wave is no fun. This is one tried and true- treat for me and it’s such a relief to know my blood sugar won’t sky rocket.

When I became diabetic, there were some foods I missed and Pop Tarts were among them. But to anyone expecting Pop Tarts, you will be disappointed. While I know high protein replacements have a weird taste and texture, they can sometimes be tolerable. But honestly, after trying two of these I threw the third in the trash. It was an expensive experiment. The pastry is chewy and has a chemical taste. There is a bad smell upon opening the package. And the substance in the middle was gooey and unpalatable. I truly can’t think of anything positive to say about it. Just awful.

I always find reviews for "protein ______" amusing because everyone somehow expects whatever it is to taste like its less nutrient dense alternative. Pop tarts taste the way they do because of the ingredients used to make them, just like these taste the way they do because of the ingredients used to make them. The pros: - palatable. It doesn't taste like the pop tart from your childhood, but it's also not bad - the texture is actually kind of great. It's similar to a loft house sugar cookie, pillowy and soft. - the first one out of my box came with an adequate amount of frosting. The box was not smashed in transport. - meets expectations as far as being a protein replacement. I'm full. The cons: - definitely rocking that fake sweet taste. If you're used to consuming sugar alternatives (like me), this isn't bothersome. But it does do something to the overall experience of trying to enjoy it - expensive. I got my box for $6.99 and somehow that still feels kinda steep for 4 pastries. I cannot imagine paying more for these. Ending thoughts: I usually pick up breakfast alternatives like these when meal prep burnout strikes and I need something "easy". I don't choose them after through research , I choose them because if I don't have an easy option, I simply won't eat. They don't have nearly enough fiber for me to consider purchasing again and I know I'm going to be hungry in an hour without more fiber content. They're not bad, but I'd only give them a 6/10.

I haven't been able to eat carbs or sugar since starting keto and this is a great fix! A lot of reviews showed barely any frosting but mine looked pretty good. Ive bought a couple other flavors at gas stations for $4 a piece so this 4 pack for $7 was a steal. As for the flavor, you can definitely tell this is a protein snack, and not a real p*p t*rt but its still ticks the boxes for me. If they can keep the price at less than $2 a pastry I will buy more in the future.

Taste isn’t the best, it’s really dry. I put it in microwave as instructed and it did taste better a little melted. Wasn’t stale at all and my energy level remained the same, great amount of protein though!!!

Honestly a great pop tart style flavor, plus I feel filled up. And another plus, they're gluten free! Great to try, even at least once

i’m sorry i don’t like giving bad reviews but these taste nasty. i even had two friends try them and they felt the same.
