Sheamoisture Manuka Honey &Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Treatment Masque, 12 Oz

I've been purchasing this product for a few years, using it as a replacement for the Garnier Hair Food deep conditioners/masks that have been more difficult for me to find. It has a similar price point as the Garnier, too. I've used this hair mask the same way that I used the one from Garnier--for both dying my hair and as a standalone product after a light shampooing. It leaves my hair feeling soft, smooth and nourished without being greasy. I have normal to dry hair that tends to frizz. The mask, which is thick but still easily spreadable, contains a pleasant floral and slightly sweet fragrance that is noticeable immediately after use. It fades after a few hours (that or nose-blindness sets in). A small amount goes a long way, provided that you really make an effort to comb it through your hair.

This is a great product. I'm older and this conditioner moisturizes my hair so it isn't frizzy. My hair is shiny and the curls are soft and manageable. I've been to New Zealand and it does smell like Manuka trees - I love it!! I've tried so many products - hands down this is the best.

I had been struggling to find the best masque for my low porosity hair. I have short hair so when it’s not properly moisturized you can really see it, and there is no ponytail or quick fix to save it. I shampooed my hair, I added the step of putting conditioner to detangle my hair properly before putting on this masque, washed it off, AND THEN I applied the masque, raking it through my hair first with my fingers and then with my tangle teezer brush. Once the product was on, I put on a plastic cap and got under a heated hood for 30 mins. As soon as I started washing this masque off I could feel the HUGE DIFFERENCE. Even wet, my hair felt extremely soft, juicy and moisturized. Since my hair was properly moisturized, my styling was much easier and gave me much better results that before using this product. All these steps were done with warm water. So for anyone with low porosity hair struggling with moisture, maybe giving this product a try could do the trick like it did for me. Hope this helps

This is the first Shea Moisture product I have tried. Based on my experience with this product I will definitely be trying other products from this company. I have short hair which was never particularly dry nor damaged. I don't even blow dry my hair. However, as my hair has become increasingly gray I started to color it. That inevitably led to dryness and damage. I tried a couple of other masks that were considerably more expensive than this and got good reviews, but I wasn't impressed. Neither of them left my hair feeling truly moisturized and nourished. After doing further research online I decided to give this mask a try. Boy am I glad I did. My hair looks and feels better than it has in a very long time. This truly is an intensive moisturizer as the label states. You don't need to leave it in for a long time to get results either. The label says 5 minutes. I'd say anywhere from 5-10 minutes should suffice depending on the condition of your hair and how often you use it. I think this mask would be particularly good for dry, course or wavy hair. I don't know if it would be the right product for someone with very fine, soft hair. It does not leave your hair feeling greasy but it does impart shine and smoothness along with moisture. I also happen to think it smells wonderful. I can't understand some reviewers who objected to the scent. I guess to each his own. I think this product is a perfect example of a modestly priced, widely available product being equal to or better than many expensive, fancy pants brands.

I am writing this review after using this product for 8 months now. I have naturally wavy hair that is neither soft nor too rough. This is the first time I tried using a hair masque. Also I normally use Tresemme shampoo and conditioner so I was hesitant about shifting to Shea Butter brand. But I must say.. I love this product. I have applied this to the bottom two third portion of my hair once a week or at the very least once every 2 weeks over the past 8 months and I can see visible results. My hair has become quite soft and flowy. I apply this to my damp hair using a wide toothed comb and leave it on for 15 - 20 minutes and wash it off using cold water. This is enough to make my hair soft and smooth. I did notice that my hair gets a little dry and tangled the day after using this but this is just a small price to pay for the greater good. Currently I hardly ever use straightener or hot iron on my hair and have completely embraced my beautiful curls. I feel a lot confident since my curls are completely moisturized and bouncy!! Also this product has a very sweet smell that my spouse loves... The smell lasts for a couple of days after wash and I've received a lot of compliments .. so definitely this my hair masque of choice and I'll keep buying this until they stop manufacturing this product. Note: This is not a leave on product. Wash off thoroughly or else you can see a lot of dryness, tangles and breakage for the next couple of days.

This stuff is AMAZING. I'm using it as the deep conditioning step with the Max Hydration method (which I've been doing for years once a week) and I love how it makes my hair feel. I have 4b/4c hair (although the max hydration method makes it seems more 4b than 4c). A few days ago I decided to just use it as a leave in after step 1, and worked so well. My hair absorbed it all, it dried without flaking and my curls are soft and popping. There's more shrinkage than with gel, but I do a pineapple at night and get some nice stretch that way. I'm experimenting with the Max hydration steps now to see how to incorporate it best, but I suspect it'll use it twice: once as a deep conditioner, and again in step 4 in place of the leave in and gel (after the clay mask).

Shea moisture est une marque qui a su se créer une place dans le milieu assez fermé des produits capilaires principalement destinés aux possesseurs de cheveux crépus/bouclés, connus pour être les plus difficiles à maintenir. Ce produit leur rend absolument honneur et respecte l'image de la marque qui se veut respectueuse du cheveux et transparente. Et en plus de ça, une partie des revenus de la marque vont pour soutenir des associations qui luttent contre la pauvreté, et aider des petits business. Que demander de plus ? J'approuve à 100% et recommande les yeux fermés. Foncez!

È la seconda volta che acquisto questa maschera e mi trovo benissimo. Ho i capelli che tendono a seccarsi sulle punte e con altri prodotti non vedevo miglioramenti, mentre con questa il risultato è immediato. La uso 2 volte a settimana, anche senza rispettare sempre i 10 minuti di posa, e lascia comunque i capelli morbidi e nutriti. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo, continuerò sicuramente ad acquistarla.
