This conditioner is amazing! The only one I found with clean ingredients that actually works, feels great, and leaves my hair soft, with zero itching scalp. One bottle lasted three months of using about 3-4 times a week. So a little goes a long way, just need to let it work. Doesn't feel thick and lotion-y like most conditioners. This kind of absorbs into your hair and makes it seem silky, rinses out super easy and clean. I have dark, medium curly, ear length hair btw. I've noticed the majority of negative comments are from a couple of years back, I'm guessing the company has figured things out, because this stuff is perfect. I like it. People are complaining about the smell. This is a medicated hair treatment, if you want it to smell like bubble gum try Herbal Essences. Your dandruff won’t improve though. As someone that has struggled with scalp fungus/dandruff for a long time this smells exactly like other products I’ve used and better than some. I’ve used Coal Tar and Sulfur products, this smells great compared to those. I had a hard time finding a medicated dandruff conditioner without silicone. I have Afro-type hair and I need to be able to cowash. There aren’t many dandruff cowash products out there, but this one is perfect for that. I like that it’s not heavy. It’s very watery and lightweight. The color and texture reminds me of milk, honestly. It’s perfect for my needs. It won’t replace hair masks or deep conditioner. If your hair needs that I’d follow this with one of those products. This is a light conditioner, or in my case a moisturizing dandruff product that will allow me to lightly cleanse my hair daily without drying shampoos, since Afro hair cannot tolerate shampooing daily. This rinses clean and doesn’t leave that nasty silicone buildup feel which defeats the purpose. After cowashing/cleansing with it, I follow with a silicone-free deep conditioner or leave-in depending on how much time I have. Avalon, please keep making this! Please also make it in the big pump bottle. This little bottle won’t last long for thick long hair like mine. The big pump bottle can last me a month, this one is only going to last a week or so since my hair is so long.

I purchased this to go with the shampoo and the first bottle i received had small plastic shards in it that poke and pierce your skin. It literally stabs into your skin drawing blood. I requested a new bottle as this was clearly unusable and a health hazard. The second bottle they sent had the same plastic shards. I later found other reviews with the same issue so they are aware of the problem and just don't care as they are still sending out these bottles to customers. Save yourself the time, money and physical injury and get literally anything else.

Pros of this conditioner: it's medicated, leaves scalp feeling refreshed, and softens hair. Ever since I started using this conditioner twice a week, my hair and scalp have never looked better. Zero dandruff to be seen. Cons: The smell is not great. It's not awful, but it's not pleasant either. The chamomile leafs on the bottle had me thinking it would smell similar to chamomile tea, but it really doesn't. The conditioner itself is SUPER watery too. It's hard and near impossible to get a good lather on my hair. Will I keep buying this after I run out? Probably not. But I'm also not going to throw it out as it serves its purpose. I do recommend it if you don't mind the smell and can get past the lather issue as like I said, the product does what it says it does.

My husband was diagnosed with cancer last year. After doing a little research, you can learn that terrible & forever chemicals and plastics are in EVERYTHING!!! We spent months changing out everything we could and when looking to change out shampoo, having an anti-dandruff was important for my husband and having something that didn't cost an arm and a leg was important to me. I was happy to find this company and specifically, this shampoo. It was even "Bobby Approved", which also helped us make up our minds about it. The smell is good and the quality of the shampoo is consistent. My husband was a little skeptical when he started using it, thinking it wouldn't work as well as Head & Shoulders, but he loves the way this shampoo makes his hair feel & shine and he hasn't had any issues with dandruff since using it. I was thrilled that for the size of the bottle, it ended up being a good value for the cost. It does come in an easy to use plastic bottle - I do wish they had a better option for the container, but using this is still better than most alternatives.

Nothing conditioning about it, it is like putting lotion in my hair. It doesn't smooth or make it any softer. It smells good but that is about it. Made my hair crunchy and dry.

This is actually a very good, medicated shampoo for psoriasis. Will keep buying.

Ive used the shampoo for years but not able to get it so im trying the conditioner. So far I like it but have only used it 3 times. It smells good (minty) and didn't leave my hair greasy.

The 2% Salicylic acid with other natural ingredients is very effective. It removes all flakes and dandruff and even greasy build up. The trick is to keep it on for 5 min and then wash hair. Use twice a week for clean hair. Because of natural ingredients hair may feel rough initially but over the time the hair quality will improve. Remember natural ingredients takes time to work so be patience. With chemical conditioners hair gets coated with them and so we feel hair is silky and soft but then after sometime they become rough. However with natural ingredients it's the opposite. So wait for few weeks to see excellent results.
