Check the size
The stones were good but I failed to note the size. Great for modeling and sharpening modeling tools. I was actually looking for a standard slip stone for sharpening lathe turning chisels

They did the job I wanted them for

Way too soft
These stones crumble when used. Packaged well, arrived on time but for £15 they're all but useless.

Nice set.
Nice little set of oil stones, came well packaged so as to avoid breakage. Will have to be careful using them as they are small but should do the job.

Really tiny!
It isn't obvious from the item photo that these are very small, the whetstone equivalent of needle files. The whole collection comes in a box about the size of a deck of a deck of cards. They will have their uses but rather specialised. Check the dimensions before you order.

Good solid collection for serious reshaping carving tools
A real "go to" set when serious reshaping or repair of carving tools is required . My work - horse when re-designing a gouge. Ever seen a "skued #3/12 mm" gouge? Well, now you can MAKE one for yourself! Oh, ya! Don't get me started!
